Seljalandsfoss is one of the more famour waterfalls in Iceland. It is by no means the largest (by volume or by height) but is one of the easiest to get to. I was lucky, on this particular day noone was there.
At the risk of getting a little wet, why not take a closer look here.
The wrong side of the rope
So here we have a guy and his girlfriend clearly standing off the path well aware they are so doing.
He's got a London accent but is wearing the very latest Icelandic Parka that costs € 1200 and looks like its straight out of the showroom,

designer sunglasses and carrying a cup of coffee from the cafe near the entrance.
The guy on the path with the black hat is Icelandic and is the driver of a tour bus and he speaks good English.
The bus driver tells them off and asks them to come back to the path.
The guy in the Parka refuses and says it's not up to the bus driver to tell him what to do. A heated argument pursues with both sides standing their ground whilst we look on.
You can spot these beautiful falls from the highway, however you better drive all the way close to them as you can see how they tumble into a deep pool and you can even walk around and behind the back of the falls.
Near Porsmork - Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls of Iceland. It was a waypoint during the first leg of The Amazing Race 6. This waterfall flows from the river Seljalandsá and drops 60 meters over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to go behind the waterfall using a trail.

Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous waterfalls of Iceland. Seljalandsfoss is situated in between Selfoss and Skógafoss at the road crossing of Route 1 (the Ring Road) with the track going into Þórsmörk.
This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 metres (200 ft) over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to go behind the waterfall.
Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall that can be fully encircled, situated on the South Coast of Iceland with a drop of 60 meters (200 feet).
The most distinguishing feature of Seljalandsfoss is a pathway that stretches around it. The cliffs behind the falls have a wide cavern, and rocks and paths allow guests to fully encircle it in summer.
Though a mesmerising opportunity, visitors should be prepared to get dampened due to the perpetual mist of the falls, which also tends to make the rocks of the pathway slippery.
Seljalandsfoss is one of the more famous of the Icelandic waterfalls, and was the first one we encountered. It's still one of my favourites, as one can walk along underneath the cliffs behind it.
