in a quiet moment before the mirror, where lines and stories merge on his skin, the tattoo artist seems to be in conversation with his own reflection. the black-and-white light heightens the contrasts, making the tattoos appear like a wordless diary, telling of experiences, passions, and inner struggles. the gilded frame around the reflection adds a timeless quality, as if this moment hovers between reality and a deeper, hidden self. this portrait captures not only an image of the artist but also a quiet question posed to himself and to us: who are we behind the images we show to others?

The task of depth theology, by contrast, is “to keep alive the meta-symbolic relevance of religious terms”; concepts “must not become screens; they must be regarded as windows.”

Day 186 Year 2 There you go again, facing the world beneath it all. Always struggling to get out and still trapped looking up and away.
This shot is SOOC. Again, too pressed to do much else but I like it.

Self Reflection for Me Again Monday.
I've missed MAM the past couple of weeks ...hey I better get used to that pretty soon!
This is a phone pic/selfie in the mirror of a Vespa ^_^
I thought I would just use this shot as I know taking a 'real' selfie tomorrow just wouldn't happen.
HMAM!! \ ^_^ /
I really should be saying goodnight
I really shouldn't stay anymore
It's been so long since I held ya
I've forgotten what love is for
I should run
On the double
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble

As I said earlier, I'm in a real nostalgic mood tonight. That means 80's music! Listening to this song I can feel the wind in my hair, smell the freshly cut grass, hear the roar of my '72 Chevelle and feel my girlfriend's arm around me as we drive down country roads blasting the radio. Man, those were the days! Someone I ran across on youtube put it this way:
This song takes me back to those long summer nights of youth and the way it felt to be alive and carefree. If only we could bottle up those feelings we have in youth and save it for rainy days of our adulthood when we have lost all those reasons that life is good. God how I miss the 80's and all that it was to me in my life! If only I could go back. It just ended too soon! I miss it all! :-(

Life, just like love, is indeed a mystery, where such a journey allows one to travel via infinite avenues and boulevards. To anyone who is able to see its wonderful colors, acts of nature and has the ability to acquire knowledge from the unknown, life fosters the [many] conditions where one can learn how to learn--from birth, and learn whatever he or she needs to learn to actively participate in society--whether it's transforming society for the better or simply coasting along the volatile ride otherwise known as Life. A special message to those who are undergoing some sort of pain or life-changing experience--you are loved and admired by at least one entity--life. After all, you are still here to communicate your story and yes, a better day, a better moment is underway for you. Stay committed to excellence, learning, living, life, love and yourself.
