Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes -- Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash -- it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

He told me that he believed that the age of Altrusim is nearing. A time of compassion, of giving help to others selflessly. A time when the chaos around us will come to a slow. Lost and in need of answers I asked him about words, why they break and I try so hard to get them out but they get stuck and squished together like cemented glue. He told me it was because I'm stuck in a traffic jam. That it happens when your mind is trying to go, go, go and there's just so much to say and so little time. Slow down, Heather, was what he said. He told me he had no morals, that he does what he feels is right and doesn't give a damn. Insanity, sanity, what is it? Well ya know, he thought, looking across the street "Sanity... it isn't always available." I had a conversation with a wise man that goes by the name of Kevin. Standing alongside the busy streets of Toronto, he gave me a lot to think about. He told me that the world needed listeners and that I shouldn't worry about my words sticking together. Stop trying to catch up with people all the time. It's not that your slow he told me, "Have you ever thought that maybe everyone was just going too fast?"

Sometimes there's these people you meet that effect your life instantly or say things to you that are so deep and full of meaning you can't bear to let them go. When we were done talking, I told him I would remember almost everything he said and that I would most likely end up writing about him. I told him thank you, thank you Kevin. He smiled and nodded. And now I know an age of Altruism is possible, anything is.

RFS Service Standard 7.1.9 (covid vax mandate) destroyed volunteering in the RFS for me and many other long-time RFS volunteers with many years of selfless community service. Neither the RFSA or the VFFA stood up and fought back against that utterly draconian directive that divided volunteers into the pro-RFS sheep/wonks who blindly lined up to get multiple jabs of experimental drugs and those who stood by their own ethics and integrity and refused to get Covid vax and/or to tell the RFS they had got Covid vax.

My brigade was totally pro-Covid-vax except me and I think 1 or 2 others. From the start of Lockdown 2.0 in July 2021 until I choose to withdraw entirely in 2023 after 21 years of active volunteering (2000 to 2021) I had absolutely zero involvement with my brigade because not only was there the official RFS mandate, but my brigade implemented *it's own* Covid vax mandate that banned un-vaxed volunteers from ALL participation in brigade activities (callouts, HR's, com-ed, training and social functions).

During the flood emergencies of 2020/21/22 the RFS totally banned un-Covid-vaxed volunteers from participating in 'strike teams' and other sorts of emergency response strategies to assist other agencies (SES, VRA, Army, Police, etc.)

What made it even worse was the brigade captain at the time (until the 2023 AGM) totally ignored my concerns and treated my extensive years of being a volunteer in the RFS like it meant nothing. This combined with the NSW government treating RFS volunteers like unpaid employees instead of actual volunteers sealed the deal.

At one time the RFS claimed to have '70000 volunteers'. I reckon the true number post Covid vax mandate would be 1/4 of that, or less, following how the Covid vax mandate drove so many people out of the service for good.

Nature, perhaps our only teacher. A creeper wraps itself around a fully grown tree and maybe, out of no choice or sheer selflessness, the tree does not retaliate. Instead, lets the creeper grow. I don't wish that you agree, but hope you see the point :-)

Humanitarian efforts take on many shapes and forms. They result in miracles - performed by selflessly dedicated individuals concerned with the promotion of human welfare and social reform. Haiti needs these individuals, their miracles, and their honorable work and continued support more than ever. Our "Humanitarian" poster for the Haiti Poster Project pays homage to the citizens of the world who put their lives at risk and on hold to help - not just Haiti and its citizens, but the all of the at risk peoples of the globe.

Haiti is in dire need of change on countless levels, many of which were only made more apparent through the nations recent tragedy. Resource management has plagued Haiti since its independence. Haiti is a particularly natural resource poor member of the global community. A great many of its peoples struggles arise from resource scarcity. Through typographic design we chose to envision a Haiti renewed, resource rich, lush and green and in full flower. We can only hope that one day Haiti can return to such a glorious state.

The typography included was designed atop an isometric triangular grid while the flowers and birds were designed on their own grid-based systems. C13 HEX, our most recently designed typeface was a byproduct of the Haiti type design process. At cypher13 we believe doing good manifests the same. In this manner we set out to design a poster to help raise funds for Haiti. We were rewarded with a beautiful experience, a poster we're proud of, a new typeface, and an opportunity to provide others with future opportunities.

The Humanitarian poster was printed in Boulder, Colorado by Ray McDermott at Good Thoughts 4 All, an earth conscious print studio committed to sustainable practices. In all, forty, seven-color posters were printed using earth-friendly inks on 80lb recycled paper. The posters are twenty four inches wide by sixteen inches tall.

Who are our volunteers? They are parents who want to bring their family out for a day of service together, retirees willing to share a wealth of knowledge and experience, outdoor enthusiasts wishing to create and maintain their favorite recreation opportunities, and concerned citizens of all ages interested in making meaningful contributions. Here, our volunteers served as fishing guides for a wounded warrior fishing event at Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minn. Volunteers are essential to the St. Paul District’s mission. They play an invaluable role in selflessly giving their time to help the district meet our environmental stewardship, education, recreation and navigation missions.
