In the history of Buckingham Palace all the pipe bands that have been invited to participate in the Changing of the Guard Ceremony have been military bands. However, in June 2014 the Vancouver Police Pipe Band, from British Columbia, Canada was invited to play for several days at the large, mid-day Changing of the Guard Ceremony. In this photograph members of the band and their flag are visible.

With a President-elect who regularly blows off steam via ill-advised 3 a.m. tweetstorms, self-control may appear to be in short supply these days. But the ability to delay gratification remains an important skill. Every time you walk away from an argument that you know will lead to a fight, or p...

“Some people think a martial artist has to be tough against everybody - that’s not true at all. A martial artist has to be strong against bad people. But we must also be able to know and understand the feelings, moods and mentalities of good and bad individuals before we can comprehend when to be strong and when to be gentle.”

I don't know if I like the way I look in this one, haha. Like, my face... I don't think it's one of my better photos. Well anyway...

So one of my best friends... is moving. And I hate to see him go. I'm loosing one of my good friends. I don't know what to do. Well, the only thing I can do is to just talk to him while I still can.

So, I messed up my hand... I didn't break it, but it's cut up and scratched and really sore. It looks like I got into a fight with a cat, but trust me, I didn't. It hurts. I have a couple scratches on the inside of my hand too, but most are on the outside. What will my karate instructor say?? =/

OH! "Eric" emailed me today :D I was in a science class today, taking a test when my phone vibrated and said, "You have a new email from: "Eric"!" I looked at it and started grinning like a mad-woman. I was so happy. Of course, he's not the best at punctuation, but it's because he was in a rush, I could tell from how discombobulated it was.

But nevertheless, I'm happy. OH! And that girl that is giving attitude to Shihan and myself, maybe won't promote =p She doesn't have her black belt paper done and handed in, or her passport photos for her certificate. They're due the 24th. Yeah, she's not promoting, and if she is, it's going to be a half-ass job.

Other than that stuff... I'm just sore and stuff all over. Like shoulders, knees, back and arms. Weapons killed Tuesday. It was three times everything. I'm not even kidding. The bo is pretty heavy. God, I'm tired. I still have math homework to do, and no History tomorrow =(

"They’re saying,

Crush it,

Break it,

Smash it,

F*cking kill ‘em all.

Laugh as it falls away.

I won’t dodge another silver bullet,

Just to save a little face.

I want you to know,

I want you to see,

I want you to look beyond your own eyes,

Past your afflictions.

How many people really care?

(Really care?)

How many will be standing?

(One or two?)

I’ll light the match,

The flame,

The fuse,

The bomb,

Rescue the world from slavery.

I wanna torch it,

Burn it,

Scorch it,

F*ckin’ stomp it out.

Laugh as it blows away.

I won’t eat another rotten apple,

Though I’ve grown to like the taste." ("White Knuckles" by Five Finger Death Punch)

Fear. No matter the package it arrives in, it remains one of the most primordial emotions we are capable of experiencing. For years, psychologists have debated on how to best deal with it when it arises. Coming in all shapes and sizes, it is simply a part of daily life for the majority of us, ...

#Durdle #door #durdledoor is a very nice place to #visit. I would say It is a #little #more than #serene. Quite very close to a #meditative quality and not to mention, it is #breathtakingly #beautiful. you can also #climb about the place and with #absolutely no #restrictions, as long as you are #careful and #superbly #selfdisciplined. I saw #people climb atop the #archway and #enjoying themselves. A #couple of hours in #silence or in good #company can do #wonders to you and your #mind. The walk to the place in itself from the #car #park, it was a pretty nice walk to this #naturally #formed #archway located near #Bournemouth / #weymouth, #Dorset,

An #enjoyable place and where one can spend a few hours quite easily and #enjoyably.

Core values are a set of guiding principles that represent who you are, what you do and why you do it. They are a set of standards that influence your behaviors at the deepest level. These internal set of rules allow us to judge what is most important in our lives, and of course they provide answers to the question: What do I stand for?

In my most recent blog post on Prolific Living, I talk about the Ebb & Flow of Self-Discipline

One of my major intentions for 2011 is to launch a visualization blog to inspire and connect with a tribe of like-minded people who share a passion for discovering their personal calling. Today marks the birth of that intention and I hope that you will join me and my fellow tribe members in our attempts to make a collective dent in the universe. I began this journey two years ago. Along the way I've had diverse experiences and connected with several people who have inspired me to create my own personal GeniusMap (below) to guide me on my path to infinite potential. This map will serve as the framework for future blog posts on various topics from the Spiritual, Mental, Emotional and Physical pillars.
