366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Darn! 1/1/2023 turned out to be a Sunday! 😳
I love roast beef, smoked salmon, cheesy omelettes, steamed seafood, spicy shrimp, chicken salads,and more. So Sunday brunch is a lifelong weakness. It does strengthen my jaw & stomach muscles. 😀

We are happy!
Because the Hong Kong people have the great awareness and understanding on importance of democracy over the so called stability, economic prosperity and unity of one country etc.
Because the Occupy Central movement has demonstrated such good self-discipline and the ideas of peace and love.
Because the world is supporting Occupy Central protest and many other people in Hong Kong who did not participate in the movement also understand and are in sympathy of the plea on democracy.
I did not get any decent shots in the portrait shooting when I joined my photo club friends in Canada Place last weekend.
This candid shot of the models however does fit my theme of happiness and I used it for the celebration of 5th day of Occupy Central in Hong Kong.

Why Can’t I Focus Like My German Shepherd Dogs? — IMRAN®
How’s your ability to focus? How good is your attention span? Mine? Let’s just say… K2, like Kennedy even more before him, makes me look like a neutron struck by a high-energy cosmic ray—neutral one moment, then suddenly fragmented, scattered, and thinking in directions I didn’t even know existed!
You’d think my energetic German Shepherd would be the poster pup for distraction, but when it matters—he locks in. Meanwhile, I’m over here letting my own mind derail me from the important stuff. Like, say, chasing my tax refund instead of writing this post!
For example, when we’re on the vacant lot near my blessed home in a quiet cul-de-sac, and someone passes by heading toward the turnaround point in front of my home, K2 immediately stops whatever he’s doing. Not because he can see them doing anything near my home—our view is blocked by thick hedges—but because he knows they are not from “here” and are near our home.
He is confident they’ll not dare go into the home so he doesn’t go to the sidewalk to look and be certain. Instead he stands or sits still and keeps his gaze fixed on the sliver of road just beyond the hedge’s edge. That’s his window of focus - “Did they turn and go back?”.
He waits—calm, alert, focused—until they pass again on their way back to their own homes. Then he releases his concentration and is ready for me to toss another coconut in the bay for him to swim out to and retrieve.
That’s the kind of focus I need to develop. The kind that doesn’t… oh, look,…. a squirrel! ️

Back to some shadow play and simple minimalism. A few life lessons I've learned this summer:
(1) import/export warehouses are always worth exploring.
(2) look for corrugated walls everywhere you go.
(3) make sure the lines are straight.
(4) shadows almost always make things more interesting.
Day 163/366: The POTD project 'Leap of faith' is really enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of taking at least one photograph every day and I'm gaining a lot from the opportunity to see others' work as well as from both receiving and giving feedback.
The project's also encouraging me to change and grow in other ways. For example, my recording of the shots I take and upload is rather a muddle. Add that to a lack of routine around processing and uploading my own images as well as in commenting on others', and the whole process becomes a bit chaotic and unmanageable.
So weaknesses naturally become emphasised and the lessons to be learned gradually become evident and straightforward. If I want to continue (which I very much do), then I'll have to develop greater self-discipline, organisation and routine. If I don't, I won't keep up - simple as that :-) This project is much, much more than 'just' taking a photograph every day and I'm very grateful for the experience!

See Sea Dog GSD K2 & White Swan Set Sights As Sunset Delights At New York Home Beach Last Night - IMRAN™
This was the gorgeous sunset on the Great South Bay last night. Friday had been truly hectic but positive. I was at the beach of my blessed New York home of nearly thirty years. The water was tranquil like Swan Lake, despite a chilly 40F breeze coming towards me.
See the beautiful swan and the sea dog German Shepherd K2 sitting calmly eyeing each other. They were seeing the seaside scene as intently as I was.
The bay water held each at bay. The very playful K2 loves jumping in the water, just like Kennedy. But, also just like Kennedy, in this moment, K2 seemed to be admiring the swan and not disturbing its peaceful evening.
Curiosity. Coexistence. Tolerance. Discipline. The stunning sunset and dramatic dusk at Maghreb prayer time completed the mesmerizing scene.
Pure GSD. Pure nature. Pure magic. Pure gratitude.

n the late hours of the day, when the sun dips low, and the air is heavy with summer, a man finds solace in sweat and rhythm. his body moves to the silent beat that only he can hear, his muscles contracting, a personal ritual of strength. the black and white tones capture the intensity of the moment, every drop of sweat, every line of muscle defined against the wooden deck. it’s a dance of dedication — a silent conversation between effort and endurance.
As we head into another high school football season, I was able to capture the photo of the football spotted and ready for play. I searched online for a quote about football being life and ran across the wording seen here on the nikegridiron.com site. If you've ever played football or been a part of a football team (especially high school!!), then you understand these feelings, emotions, and thoughts. My two favorites are "The silence on the bus." and "Doing it for all the players who wore a uniform before you."

The patients we treat are the ones who had been receiving treatments from doctors for a long period. But they were not been cured and the cause of sickness was not diagnosed.

These treatments are being done on two principles.
1. Human Energy helps to up-root the bacteria which causes the disease.
We use Buddhist Meditation methods and the Kundalini Yoga Meditation to enhance the healing power.
We use our mental energy so that the divine eye will activate and guide us to identify the energy rays parallel against the human body. Then we extract the roots of the diseases.
2. Cosmic Rays are being sent to human energy.
The Pranic healing power of the universal will be sent to weaker human bodies through high level mental energy. This process will help the patients to calm down (Soothing feeling) from their suffering.
Sometimes we may have to use the assistance of the high spiritual beings who live in the good realms like celestial beings to heal aggrieved patients. We invite the celestial beings to invoke them with cosmic power. Mostly we invoke the blessings of Maithreeya Bodhisathwa.
Also we communicate with the spirits who trouble their relations and make them pain and suffering. We come to know what they want from their relations and we help them to release from their bad (low) status and send them away through our high mental energy.
We do not treat all the patients who come to us. We examine the present life and previous births of that person, and reason for his or her suffocation. The bad karma that accumulated in a person of previous births and the present life may have caused his or her disease or illness. So we advise to get rid of all bad things (habits) he does, and do good merits to cut off his past karma.
Then only we start treatments. We do this service free of charge. Once a week we carryout this great service at my residence, under the name of “ Vishwa Prani Healing Centre “ My family members and my friends assist me in this voluntarily. We hope to propagate this noble service worldwide in future.
