I have read Austin's first two books and have his new one on my list to pick up. I know of Austin because of Chase and appreciate all of the wisdom the two share. Thanks to those who are changing the world!
Out for the day in eastern Oregon, and you can't be out there without doing some light caving. I am trying to work people into my images a little more and thought this would be a great opportunity. This is a three image blend, just to get some detail in the rocks and tame the highlights. Let me know what you think. This is in Arnold Ice cave BTW.

Cypress tree roots that have been exposed by ravaging floods seek deeper pools for sustenance.
It is said that each tree drinks 600 gallons of river each day. Not so much in the winter when they are dormant, but when they put on new needles in the spring the river level drops considerably.
