on this earth

the going gets rough
for mile after mile
we climb
and dip

through the forests
of our lives
until darkness
begins to settle again
still we keep on

the shelter is part of the "longest bench" on Littlehampton seafront... for a brief time the dark clouds echoed the shape of the shelter

- We are suffering a record heat wave here and even the flowers of the waterlily are trying get some shelter. Alas the nearest leaves of the Marsh Cinquefoil are hardly giving any shadow.

This little squirrel seemed to be playing hide-and-seek! :-)) Hiding in an old stump and looking out of it, she did it with such incredible speed that this was the only photo I managed to take! 😊

Thanks to the friendly people that were with us at the opening, that favour my picture and visit our exhibition.
I saw these birds in a large puddle down at Hamilton waterfront. I had my large Sony with the large lens on (which was good) but no tripod to help steady the beast (which was not good)
Half of them good and half not.
Hearing of Glen Campbell's passing has bothered me. I do feel sad when any great musician passes, but he was seriously one very important musician. Part of the wrecking crew in L.A. and very influential. Good friend to Alice Cooper.
A horrible thing for a family to go through. His Daughter wrote this song and it is moving. You WILL get a tear in your eye.

I have read Austin's first two books and have his new one on my list to pick up. I know of Austin because of Chase and appreciate all of the wisdom the two share. Out for the day in eastern Oregon, and you can't be out there without doing some light caving. I am trying to work people into my images a little more and thought this would be a great opportunity. This is a three image blend, just to get some detail in the rocks and tame the highlights. Let me know what you think. This is in Arnold Ice cave BTW.
