Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and this week it is also an orange day at the awesome Looking Close on Friday Group. And if you follow my « adventures » on Flicker, you may know that, last week I mixed up the dates and themes and I was sure orange was a theme for last Friday. I have no other excuses than the fact that this is sooooo « me ». Yes, I’m a very disorganized soul and I’m getting easily distracted. But dont you worry: I’m pretty much sure I have other assets, just ask my husband and you will see ;-)….
So lucky for me, i did several concepts for the blue vs orange theme and this way I can show you another picture for this theme. I hope it will be accepted, even if i took it last week. If it gets removed, dont worry, there is always another week and another theme. The Looking Close on Friday Group is awesome and the themes are always very inspiring :-).

I popped home to Weston to check this out. Its a decommissioned oil rig which has been transformed into an art installation. In a couple of weeks it will be dismantled and recycled.
It makes a great photo subject both inside and out. Visiting at low tide is recommended if you want shots from the beach; its great for blue hour as it's lit up.
You need to go in to get decent shots of the waterfall and obviously a wide angled lens helps. This is a hand held shot.
It's free and the considering it's half term the queue was really quick!

You can see the versatility of the Twente landscape here: hedgerows, springs, small streams, picturesque vistas and of course special and rare animals and plants. A visit in autumn is recommended because of the many types of mushrooms. Hof Espelo is characterized by old avenues, flowering fields and grassy meadows. The Eschbeek meanders across the estate here, an estate that is surrounded by a very old deciduous forest.

There is a bit of Sunday Sliding in this photo. Because I wanted to get the wall (lower right) in the frame, townhall became very small. So, I selected that part of the image and enlarged it. The keen-eyed amongst you (is that you Gerald?) will probably be able to tell. I have outlined the area in a note.

Leaving for a vacation to Paris, hope to come back with some nice shots for you all. Thanks for all the nice comments, invites and faves!
Eventually I have been able to locate and photograph one of the owlets, at near midnight they come near to the house, but today was able to locate one in the woods early afternoon, have 2 families of them close by

Regional Railways 305515 heads away from Hadfield on the former Woodfield route with the 1608 from Hadfield to Manchester Piccadilly service.
After the closure of the through Woodhead route in 1981, a residual commuter service from Hadfield and Glossop to Manchester remained. After conversion of the line’s 1500v DC electrification to the 25kV AC standard in December 1984, standard EMUs were used on the branches. After use of former Strathclyde electric units, in the early 1990s former Great Eastern class 305 units took over.
These units, built at British Railways’ Doncaster works, first operated on the Lea Valley route from Liverpool Street. After the introduction of the class 321 units, some of the units survived, moving to the Manchester area and finally to North Berwick to Edinburgh services.
This view shows what was formerly a three track section of the Woodhead route. After closure of the through route in 1981, the Hadfield route became a single track branch from Dinting.
