Inside a Jamba Juice. I asked the lady behind the register if it was normally like this. She said it was probably because it's bright outside. Maybe the camera was toggling back and forth between assisted IR and natural IR, but both were overexposed?

It seems everywhere we go now we’re being watched, but the trend for big, obvious cameras seems to have diminished in recent years for those odd, slightly creepy, round perspective balls that move around; to me there’s more voyeurism in a camera watching you that can’t be seen than one that can.
As a result it was actually harder to find a security camera, the decent kind of industrial and in your face ones, than I would have expected. I’m not quite sure what the people sitting on the other end of the lens were thinking, but perhaps it added a touch of variation to what is probably a dull and tedious job.
Soon we’ll probably have trackers implanted under our skin, but for now the state will need to make do with our phones; I’ll stick to having location services turned off, thanks.
Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) perched on a security camera on the Apex Building (FTC) of the Federal Triangle complex in Washington, DC. This is a heavily-cropped image as I only had my 70-200mm lens on me, and could have used a little more reach.
Gee, what do you think might happen if a person were to print this warning sticker out, apply some glue to the back of it and stick it in a toilet stall in a public place? Now, I'm not saying you *should* do this, mind you, I'm just asking what you thought *might* happen if someone did that.
This is the rounded corner of the shopping mall, with its security cameras gazing back at us. Smile!

Jeff's dad got into town yesterday and tonight we all went to Wal-Mart because Jeff wanted to get a duffle bag or something. I ended up doing a small grocery shop and then we ended up in the customer return area.
Was it just me or did everyone, when they were younger, make faces and such for the security cameras in stores when you could see the tv display? I definitely did.. and today I tried not to pose and not to look suspicious while taking a picture of the monitor ...it definitely didn't work.
It is a good-looking part, nicely parted.
