These are pictures that I took from a moving taxi, as it drove me around the Lower Ninth Ward area of New Orleans, on March 6th, 2006 -- approx 6 months after Hurricane Katrina. They don't really do it justice, but it was the best I could do with limited time and resources...
Note: this photo was published in a Jul 27, 2009 blog titled "FEMA Cannot Handle Emergency Housing Alone, FEMA Head Testifies." It was also published in an Aug 26, 2009 blog titled "Sad but Resurgent, New Orleans Marks Katrina's Fourth Anniversary."

The two met to discuss the future of U.S. Army and Ghanaian Army partnership. Both officers expressed satisfaction with the growth of the positive partnership between the two countries.
This was Hogg's second visit to Ghana; he is currently on a three-country visit to Ghana, Togo and Benin to meet with military leaders.
