2005 Christmas Eve . National Gallery of Art . 4th Street betweeen Madison Street and Constitution Avenue, NW . WDC . 24 December 2005
On 4th Street, almost at Pennyslvania Avenue, when passing by the National Gallery of Art I'd happen upon these two security guards. I'd inquire if I may photograpm them. The one on the left did not want his name mentioned. The one on the right name tag read W. Belchel. Dating back to September 1980, as an independent contractor, I've catered many events at the NGA East and West buildings.

Unsure as to where I was heading, but knowing that I would stop in at the National Law Enforcement Memorial I decided to walk, instead of taking the subway. Having exited the rear of the Waterfront Mall I'd happen upon this security guard and inquire if I may photograph him in connection with my 2005 Christmas Eve Project.
