The transformation of a narrow, congested, dusty and chaotic street to the Harmandir Sahib/ Golden Temple is indeed really something to be proud of! A couple of locals we'd asked directions from were also justifiably proud of the development. 'Just turn the corner, you will see London there', one street vendor said proudly. Now London or now I do not know, I haven't been there, but it certainly was a grand and impressive sight. Here a group of weary pedestrians rests in front of a newly restored fort like structure on that street. (Amritsar, Punjab, northern India, Nov. 2017)

Among the highlights of our day in port at Barcelona, Spain, was a visit to La Pedrera -- the Casa Milà apartment complex designed by legendary modernist architect Antoni Gaudí and completed between 1906-1912.

After exploring the building's rooftop terrace and attic loft, we headed down one level to The Pedrera Apartment. The unit was opened in 1999 as a permanent exhibition space and is a recreation of a bourgeois family's home as it would have appeared in the early 20th century. The original use of each room has been preserved, and the rooms are filled with period furniture and accessories.

Here, you can see a view of the drawing room and its sitting area. (The doorway at the left leads to the master bedroom.) The Pedrera Education site provides additional information on the apartment in the ''Residential Building'' section, including photos of the gallery/corridor and some of the rooms and decor.

One of the largest video walls I have ever seen- this one is fitted on the side of the Town Hall/ Partition Museum in Amritsar, and is very close to the Harmandir Sahib/ Golden Temple, which is incidentally the subject of the movie playing on that screen. I have seen the 'world's largest video wall' outside the Times Square shopping mall in Hong Kong, and another 'world's largest' outside the Royal Selangor Club in KL, but this one is the largest of the lot. There is a sign close by this one claiming this to be the 'world's largest' as well, but I did not photograph that notice specifically- it only appeared in another picture I took of the Town Hall by day the following day. After mega amounts of hard graft, lifting, shifting, filling and stamping we now have another pleasant seating area. It also encouraged much sorting, ditching and tidying of other areas in the garden and sheds which have long been neglected. :)

New trellis, new potato and onion beds and enlarged seating area. We have planted beans, squash, cucumbers and a rose to grow over the trellis

We stayed at the beautiful Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa during our visit to Vilamoura, Algarve, Portugal in October 2016. A memorable resort which comes highly recommended, located 25 minutes [with Yellowfish Transfers] from Faro International Airport [FAO] in southern Portugal.

We would want to stay again in our future right here when visiting Vilamoura and the area as we enjoyed this gorgeous resort to 100% from our room, the pool vistas, the delicious breakfast, room service dinner to the complimentary transportation provided to the Vilamoura Marina and the friendly service throughout. This was our 1st stay at this resort and marked equally our 1st stay at a Hilton Family Resort Property Worldwide as we look forward to explore more of them in our future.
