Emerald Isle, North Carolina is positioned East West so the Sun Rises and Sets on the Beach. This is located near the point which marks the end of the Outer Banks of NC. Thanks for the visit and have a good remainder of the week.
This shot is at Seagrove Beach. The lights on the beach are flashlights, people exploring the beach, and on this night they had a front row seat to a gorgeous storm!!

Greenhow was an old mining village that was a major supplier of lead.
Joseph Kipling, the grandfather of Rudyard Kipling was the minister at the Methodist Chapel at Greenhow and Rudyard himself is known to have visited the village.
The church in the village (St Mary's) is reputedly the highest parish church in England still in use, though services are now only fortnightly on Sunday evenings plus major feast times
High Seat, the highest of the hills above Mallerstang and the fourth highest in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Garreg Ddu Dam in the lower Elan Valley is a low, completely submerged dam with a bridge over, Elan valley, Powys, Wales, UK
Chairs and Benches
This is yet another new series of photographs this time about Chairs and Benches with a few other seating items thrown in.
They can be Regal, Practical, Ultra Design items, Art Installations, used for Potty Training. They can even be vehicles of Execution. They hold immense power and none at all. From the densest populated cities, to the most remote parts of the world. Usually sturdy; reliable; honest; comfortable; often filled with people. People talking, sleeping, with their phones, eating, climbing to reach other items, feeding birds, making love and every scenario one can think of.
The imagination can run riot over the most important conversations that have taken place on them, what they could tell you if they could, what they would tell you if they wanted too. As usual I hope you enjoy what I have posted and this is the first of many……….

I want to take a moment and celebrate all my Flickr contacts as well - I chose to photograph a section of my kitchen chair (above) as a symbol of the friendship I have with most of you. The strands represent all of you, coming together to form a single point of strength and every day providing me with support and most of all encouragement. As with the chair, every strand counts - from the most timid but consistent "fave" (you know who you are) to the most flamboyant award giver (you know who you are too!). Please know that all this support combined has helped to up my quality and has stirred my imagination to a degree I never thought possible. We must learn to trust what we see and photograph it in the best possible way. Thank you and here's to quality, good fortune and honest opinions!

The good thing about a day with constant rain in Strasbourg are the many available seats on the excursion boats on the channels.
There is always something interesting to see from the window seat.

Well this was taken last week as a possible for SSC chairs /seats , but it did not get chosen . However , I took it so here it is .
The throne is a carved seat out of a bit of tree trunk and been in the garden now for quite a few years .
So it is not in the woods but just the pathway through the garden and it seems a popular place for the garden residents to gather !!
The chairs can be explained by the largest cineplex in Frankfurt at this station. But why does the ticket machine ask "My salary"?

Terrace seats? It's not that stylish. It's just a man drinking alone at the storefront. This is also a preventive measure.
