IN SEARCH OF ANY TASTY FISH REMAINS, amongst the fish nets left on the quay side, this robust little wader is a real beauty, and fairly approachable.
Not much going on in the local birding world, so a visit to Whitstable fishing harbour, gave me a few interesting images to show!

I was overjoyed when on an evening walk through Longparish last night, this captivating spectre-like beauty glided noislessly through one of the meadows in search of prey.

Here is another guy I try to search out whenever I can, i.m.h.o. I think that they are one of the most beautiful and striking birds we are so lucky to have here in our wetlands.

The view from Calton Hill, Edinburgh's, Scotland, taking in Leith, and beyond the Firth of Forth, with the island of Inchkeith, and beyond that the Fife coastland.
Taken with a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
Searched for a Barred owl and Great Horned owl at a park. This guy was right above my head watching me search.

If you look carefully you may be able to see two Hector's Dolphins. These small dolphins are only found in New Zealand's waters and we were so lucky to see them surfing the waves :) One of many special moments we were fortunate enough to experience last year during our month in New Zealand.

The most ancient cross-cultural symbolic representation of the universe's construction is the world tree. The dove has represented peace for centuries. The idea of "peace on earth" is not new...and though it may seem to be unattainable, it's something worth striving for.
(at least that is my belief)
Research has shown that being near the ocean can make you calmer and more creative. When you sit near the ocean and gaze out at the water, you give your brain and senses a rest from overstimulation, get into a mindful state, and trigger insights and ideas that eluded you while you were sitting at your computer.

Tijdens onze reis 'Call 4 the Wild' door de Pantanal in Brazilië ...
De reis was fantastisch georganiseerd door
I often searched for large Ayers Rock photos only to discover that these were rare and most photographers didn't share them. So I vowed to take photos of the Red Centre and post them full size so everyone could see them. So here is a huge panorama of 29 photos using a 200 mm lens. You can see several people still climbing the formation even though it will soon be dark. You can see a shadow at the base of Ayers Rock and it didn’t take long before the sun set.
