This male Wandering Ringtail Damselfly was posing very gracefully and patiently for me, as I searched for the most colourful bokeh around. I thanked him for being such a great model :)

In search of some more mist Iain (Highlandscape) and I took a pre-dawn trip to Loch Droma this morning. No clouds to take any colour but the mist didn't disappoint and with a bit of patience (and a 5 stop ND) there were also some decent reflections to be had.

I was taking pictures of the graffiti on the pedestrian underpass of the student corner of Hasselt, Belgium and as a bonus I got this boy with his board who I only spotted when editing the photo !!

In search of the blue flower

Looking for

Creeping up the bark of a tree in search of food, the Treecreeper’s cryptic brown, white and yellow-gold plumage gives it the perfect camouflage.

Treecreepers need mature trees in which to search the bark's nooks, crannies and fissures for invertebrate food. They begin searching for food low down on a tree, working their way up before fluttering back down to the lower part of a nearby tree and completing the exercise over again.

Treecreepers are resident in Britain & Ireland and as a small bird, can suffer during harsh winters, resulting in population fluctuations. They are found throughout Britain & Ireland, except for the highest peaks and some of the more remote Scottish islands.

Recently I did a search for a particular keyword in Lightroom and this picture came up. I was surprised to see the hard drive with the Iceland photos from a few years ago still attached to my computer. I am taking this as a sign to look through these and perhaps post some of them before they disappear into my external hard drive mess.

This waterfall here is really insignificant, considering the more famous big waterfalls in Iceland. Perhaps I like it because of that. It's just by the side of the road, nobody else gave it any thought, not worth stopping for. If you are in Iceland. If it was in my neighbourhood here I would visit frequently.

Here it must have been where Ansel Adams took his photo "winter sunrise" in 1944. It was very special to have been here last summer on my driveway to Yosemite National park where he photographed so many beautiful iconic views.

Kolumyia sits on the L'viv-Chernivtsi railway line, a position which has benefited the town's economy since the line was built in the 1800's.
