CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE, CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – Cpt Rabbi Mark Getman, New York Guard Public Affairs Officers presenting his Hebrew Scripture reading at the New York Army National Guard and New York Guard Joint Prayer breakfast event held on January 10th at the Chapel Duffy Chapel on Camp Smith Training Site.

Unit ministry teams from the 53rd Troop Command and the New York Guard held a joint Prayer Breakfast at the Chaplain Duffy Chapel and Spiritual Fitness Center which brought together Soldiers and Chaplains of all faiths and denominations to discuss Spiritual Readiness and Soldier resiliency.

The focus of the gathering, led by more than a half dozen military chaplains and lay leaders, emphasized the important role of Spiritual Readiness as part of Soldier resiliency and overall Comprehensive Soldier Fitness in the New Year.

The program included remarks by the NYARNG 53rd Troop Command Chaplain (MAJ) Tyhovych, and New York Guard Command Chaplain (MAJ) Gardner, and songs by the East Ward Missionary Baptist Church Choir. – Photos by Cpt Mark Getman- New York Guard
