This is one of my screen print from my first year of my BA Fine Art course. Again it is drawn from my life drawing observations. I wasn't as impressed with this outcome but it's all part of the learning experiance.
I like the effect of the dye splotches in the background. I wonder if dying cloth then printing a design like this (hard edges) could end up looking like a colored-in design? Maybe I'll try someday. For now, I'm going to stick to screenprinting, and put learning about dying on the "to do, someday" list.
the three final pieces for my AS urban project. done as screenprints with paper stencils. they took ages. worth it though.
One of the prints I made for the calendar exchange I organized. I did the month of May. It's monoserigraphy with blindembossing, but the embossing didn't photograph.

This is a screenprint of Dizzee Rascal over the top of an article in The Times Newspaper's Music insert featured every sunday, and an illsutration by one of my favourite artists, Miles Donovan.
It was an experimental peice I made whilst exploring the applications of silk screen printing in my own time after college in 2007.
