"What?? Is there something hanging out of my nose or something?"
Southern Screamer. Photographed at a wildlife preserve.
What a great name for a bird. Well unless it lives up to its name too often. We were told that The Southern Screamer was a recent arrival in Buenos Aries and for that reason it didn’t appear in any of the guidebooks I had access to. Right of them were found in a coastal park just a short walk from the city centre. I’ll post details later.
The Scream. It is at the beginning of man's life on earth. The cry of hunting, of war, of love, of terror, of joy, of pain, of death. But the animals also cry out; and for the primitive man also cries out the wind and the earth, the cloud and the sea, the tree, the stone, the river.
A westbound TRE Friday evening rush hour train ducks under Metro building and heads into Fort Worth Union Station with a former Amtrak F40PH leading, these units were acquired by TRE from Progress Rail after a trial of LTEX units previously to expand service, these units still have no external HEP and run continuously in Notch 8 just like they did on Amtrak (6/30/23).

The Black-bellied bustard (Lissotis melanogaster) also known as the black-bellied korhaan, is an African ground-dwelling bird in the bustard family.
Bustards don’t have nesting sites but will nest in the open on the ground using very little nesting material. One or two eggs are generally laid between tufts of grass. The eggs are well camouflaged with light olive green blotches streaked with brown, olive and grey. The female will incubate the eggs and care for and protect the chicks alone.
The word bustard (from the French word bistard) has its origin in the Latin words avis tarda meaning “slow bird”.
This very handsome male Black-bellied Bustard was captured on a photography safari during late evening game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania.
Grandpa Gino wanted to renew his driving licence, despite the contrary opinion of his family, let's hope he doesn't get into trouble.😱😅😅.....🇮🇹I Nonno Gino ha voluto rinnovare la patente, nonostante il parere contrario della famiglia, speriamo che non si metta nei guai.😱😅😱

The Southern or Crested Screamer "Chauna torquata" is a South American bird which as it's name implies has a loud territorial call, audible up to 2 miles away! According to the notice board (see next photo) it's an evolutionary link between Geese & Swans and Gamebirds HWW!
