Julie Harris passed away yesterday at the age of 87. The Haunting has perhaps one of the most eerie ghost sequences I've ever seen. And it's what you don't see that scary. Making it an all time favorite film of mine. She will be missed by her fans, and genre fans alike.

Most Views Sabrina Babcock
In my on going effort to have my characters look good, I retook Sabrina's character profile picture in February with her Chanel Oberlin inspired outfit. It's based on the look she wore in Scream Queens season one episode 5 'Pumpkin Patch'. The basic teal and yellow Barbie dress with blue fur was pretty close to Chanel's look in my opinion and it works for Sabrina rather well. Especially considering once BFF3 & BFF4 hit with the added use of 'faceclaims' Emma Roberts, unbeknownst to her, played Sabrina Babcock for two years and counting. I'm guessing the new photo coupled with curiosity to know more about Sabrina lead to this photo getting a high number of views.
Most Favorties The Winners Circle
Shortly before BFF4 started, I took of photo of my My Scene versions of the winners of season one thru three.
Myuna - Season One
Celia - Season Two
Jaden - Season Three
Maxine's My New BFF is always adding new characters to the ever expanding Maxine Universe so I wanted to pay extra special attention to the winners of the first three seasons before season four started. I fully expect to take a similar photo with the addition of season fours winner Gabi.
Most Comments Maxine's My New BFF Season 4! Guys vs Girls!
After the success of Maxine's My New BFF season 3, I fully expected the auditions for season four to get a lot of attention. And it surely did. It had the most comments of 2016 but that pales in comparison to the competition itself. BFF4 smashed the records of previous doll based role play competitions with over 10,000 posts and topped off at a little over 400 pages! An epic season if there ever was one, filled with more love triangles, drama and craziness than I could've ever expected. Here's hoping 2017's Sabrina Star School 2 can live up to the precedent set by BFF4
Personal Favorite I was filled with poison
On the topic of BFF4, "I was filled with poison" takes it's place as my 2016 pick for personal favorite. Sabrina Babcock had a prominent role in BFF4 acting as the 'Anti-Maxine' of sorts, calling out contestants BS all the while causing a lot of the drama herself. Through out the competition Sabrina collected minions pretty quickly. Freddie was established from the onset of his arrival but contestant Gabi and house guests Lark and Josh were quickly rolled into Sabrina's Squad. But while they became something of the 'Maxine World' version of the Chanels, I took it one step further and compiled their confessional photos into this group shot. My favorite thing about it is not just Sabrina's sexy pose or everyone looking generally threatening (except Josh natch) but the fact that this was a collaborative photo between me and my closest friends Gryphon and Jose. We all had a stellar year and are as much of a squad as Sabrina, Lark, Gabi, Josh and Freddie are.
I said it last year, but I'll say it again, BFF really did act as a shining beacon for me this year because it was a lot of fun, I reconnected with old friends, made new friends and despite everyone saying the doll community is dead, I got a whole group of awesome doll friends that were nothing more than casual acquaintances before hand. I hope 2017 brings exciting new developments because aside from day to day drama, the overall picture that's painted by the year is always more heavily focused on the good that came of it, rather than the minimal bad times.
