One of our decorations on my wreath hanging on the back door to greet the Halloween visitors. This year we had 36 kids at the door. My Facebook memories reminded me that back on this day in 2019 we had a total of 6 kids at our door.
I may not have time to answer or acknowledge your visit here or any comments you leave right away but, I will thank you now in advance.
A tree in the grounds of Lauriston Castle, Near Edinburgh, Scotland that bears a striking resemblance to Edvard Munch's infamous 'The Scream' painting.
The lower limbs of this lovely old tree have been polished smooth by generations of children (including my own two) clambering over them.
Oi gente, desculpa pela desatualização do flickr mas eu fiquei alguns dias trabalhando em uma prévia q não deu muito certo, mas enfim, gostaram?
Damn what do you do when big wasp decides he doesn't want his picture taken and seems like he's coming straight at you!!...........
.......I ran, hoping my girly screams would scare him right back!!! He was getting a bit too close to my throat :))
One might say "screaming" with both the whistle and speed through Conesville, Ohio on October 20, 2003 with a freight charter by the late David Goodheart was Ohio Central's former GTW Class U3b Northern 6325. All one has to do is look at the plume and know she was rolling, surely reliving the glory years. Thanks to the late Jerry Jacobson for obtaining and rebuilding the 6325 back to operational condition for I remembered that GTW whistle from my childhood years along the GTW north of Detroit, yes sometimes you can go back.
Some birds have very amusing names and for me the Horned Screamer definitely falls into that category. This one almost got me screaming as it flew right past us during or visit to the Los Amigos Biological Station in southern Peru back in February of 2010.

As you saw in the previous shot the word SCREAM was prominently displayed on the sign. And that's exactly what these kids were doing when the ride got going.
Another promo shot for musician Craig "Screamer" Powell.

this picture was actually supposed to be much more lighthearted originally, but this is how it turned out.
Creative Scream è in illustrazione che contiene un mio autoritratto unito al genere di creature che amo disegnare. Rappresenta un urlo di creatività che nasce nell'istante in cui la punta della penna tocca la tavoletta grafica.

Thanks to Lou for taking this shot for me!
Don't worry I won't make too many baby pics public. ;O)
At first glance this bird resembles a vulture but it is actually more closely related to ducks. It is a Southern Screamer (Chauna torquata) from South America, one of three extant species of Screamer that are an evolutionary oddity as they lack the small projections found on other birds' ribs (called uncinate processes). Game birds and ducks are closely related and Screamers (Anhimidae) are an early offshoot of this ancient evolutionary family. Their feet and beaks are very gamebird-like but apparently they are closer to ducks and geese. You can also see a fearsome-looking spur sticking out from the front of each wing, that they use for fighting, and sometimes they snap off in other birds, but they grow back. Spikes on the wings is also known in the Spur-winged Goose: www.flickr.com/photos/timmelling/51017831338/in/photolist Screamers also have air-sacs beneath the skin which makes them unpleasant to eat (apparently). The generic name Chauna means spongy, referring to these air-sacs. Latham in 1785 wrote "When any part of the skin is touched by hand a crackling is felt" so I presume the air-sac skin must be rather like bubble-wrap, though I have never touched a Screamer. And the name Screamer, obviously comes from their call, which sounds rather goose-like: xeno-canto.org/494930
I took this photo at Costanera Sur wetland reserve in Buenos Aries.
