Loved these little boot scrapers that were at the foot of a ton of the old buildings. Very cool little feature I don't remember seeing in other cities.

For some reasons, I have an affinity for this building. It is located in Downtown Buffalo, NY. I later discovered it is called the Electric Tower. It is an ivory tower, definitely worth a visit when you have a chance to see downtown Buffalo. Our middle school students were awarded the Golden Plate Award for keeping their food waste under 1 pound during their three days at Eagle Bluff Environmental Camp.

At each meal, we had two students assigned to scrape plates and weigh the food that a person could have eaten but did not. Our kids "got it!"
