Mein absoluter Traum wäre ja mal eine Aufnahme eines Eisvogels ❄️💙 Diese Farben sind unglaublich! Es ist immer wieder beeindruckend was die Natur, neben uns Menschen 😜😜😜, für Schönheiten geschaffen hat 😍❤️

Still made by hand today by Ernest Wright in Sheffield. Another make I only found fairly recently. I could have saved a lot of money, wasted on scissors that broke, if I'd come across these years ago. They were there though!

UPDATE! UPDATE! This image has just sold for use on the cover of a new book! It's in Greece, in Greek, called "O Raftis tou Poseidona" (The Tailor of Neptune).
This image is Part of a new 'series' that I'm playing with. Rust and Little People. My original concept was taking the rusty images, converting to sepia B&W, but leaving a splash of color somewhere, like a radish, cherry, etc. Here I added a piece of yarn
This is just an old pair of odd scissors that I tried all kinds of things with.
Update - I received my copies of the book (as part of my use agreement), one of my photos on a book in Greek, in Greece - Fun Fun!
i thought of this while i was flipping a pair of scissors in the air and catching them in my hand. like a daredevil.
i've felt for a long while that dynamite is missing from the game...it would be defined by 'the finger'...and of course it would always win...

the rock i found on the road in front of a very large church in Granard, Eire...nice place with an old hill fort behind the church which now has a large statue of St. Patrick atop it...scissors were a present for bonsai pruning but mandy has since stolen them and uses them for cutting copper foil for her stained glass work...newspaper is our local paper The Diss Express...
I should say "Haircut", but it's not properly an object.
So, the scissors represent well a change, my need to move forward, to demonstrate to myself I can go on.
Scissors are a movement, a cut, an intimate change.
Sometime I need to cut my hair just to say "ohi, I can do it, I can change and move on. I can do it on my own, I'm strong!".
Sometime I need to cut my hair just to change the mirror reflection on the morning or to let me be different than the past.
