Sisters Academy – The Boarding School is a large-scale immersive and durational performance-installation.
The entire building is transformed into a boarding school where the co-participating audience enroll as students at the school. They are provided with a bed, a set of clothes and basic school materials. In this universe they live their everyday life but on rather different conditions as this is not a school like others but one of a possibly future sensuous society.
Besides taking classes, falling in love with their schoolmates, cooking, doing chores, attending morning and evening gathering they engage with the Sisters Academy staff.
Furthermore the format holds different layers of participation; visiting artists/researchers/teachers, school excursions, concerts and beyond.

The first dance, Jaira Tabita Peyer (Dancer, Choreographer) und Maria Smiglieska (Artistic Direction, Scenography, Robotic Choreography)
Im Rahmen des Digitaltag Schweiz bot die ZHdK ein umfassendes Programm im Toni-Areal, sowie am Hauptbahnhof Zürich an. Im Toni-Areal präsentierte sich die Hochschule vom 25. – 27. Oktober 2018 mit interaktiven digitalen Exponaten sowie der Fachkonferenz Expanding Immersive Design. Ausstellung und Konferenz beschäftigten sich multiperspektivisch mit dem Thema «Creative Machines. Playful Interactions between Humans & Technology». Performances, Screenings und Masterclasses rundeten das vielseitige Angebot an der ZHdK ab. Am HB Zürich wurde der Sphery «ExerCube» in der Themenwelt Bildung ausgestellt.

Surely the name intuited its particularity. A mix of Italian blood and blood Japanese, a mix almost rare, almost unique and wonderful.
Akimi is special as its name: it is a girl of strong character because of sorrow has passed but always walks with head high, no one puts his feet on his head, knows how to be respected even by bad luck, maybe if not intimidates know well enough; It is sincere and loyal, not afraid of the opinions of others and is not afraid to speak his mind.
