I caught sight of this move while driving, even though it was a high speed working I managed to catch up with it as it approached Byker on the east side of Newcastle. 03063 with a stock move to Heaton on 20th April 1984. It was always good to catch a loaded move with an 03 away from the confines of Central Station.

Scan from a 35mm transparency.

This time Imacon scanned. The previous version posted was scanned with a normal lab scanner. The Imacon scans at the lab are twice as expensive as the "normal scan". If you pay more you get better quality (of course).

Four more slide scans from the previous century. These are straight out of the scanner. It is obvious that my subject matter did not change that much over the decades.

A photo from 1965 when I was a little 'un! And here's my Mum filling me up with rubbish, lol! It's probably taken at Southsea Common

A scary photo from the early to mid 70s here - I would guess I was about 10. I think my brother took it on the Isle of Wight ferry, which at one point left from a slipway across the road from our house. The ferries moved to its current location in Gunwharf Road in 1982. As you can see I was quite a freckly child and I suffered quite badly from acne in my teens (which started to appear well before my teens!)

45104 (I think) heading for Heaton Carriage Sidings with the ECS from a Newcastle terminating Trans-Pennine service, date unknown but between 1984-86. The bulk of the train being caught in a patch of sun.

Scan from a 645 colour negative.

This was our all time favorite cat. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car when he was about a year old. According to the back of the picture, he is four months old here. This is a really poor print that I scanned.
