This week I'm going for a photo taken in 1967/8 (I'll go with 1967, as I look young!) on an open top bus at our nearest bus stop. Here I am with my doting Dad, photo probably taken by my Mum. In the summer months we had an open top bus service that ran from the bus stop across from our house to the other end of the beach - number 25! Behind me has all changed now. Those are the warehouses at the Camber, but now they're all gone and Ben Ainslie's headquarters are in their place.

In years gone by, Llyn Idwal in Snowdonia used to freeze regularly to a depth where it was safe enough to walk across. Don't think I'd risk it now.

Another scan of a print from Grindelwald. It was hard to get the balance right, lots of darks and whites. Still, I love the view.

A clearly recently outshopped 03059 shunting at Newcastle (where else?} on a dismal 29th June 1983. Summer was obviously in full-swing.

I was a bit of a tomboy when I was growing up - I was probably around 12 here, pictured with my Mum along the seafront. We're dressed up quite well so I guess it wasn't the warmest of days!

I caught sight of this move while driving, even though it was a high speed working I managed to catch up with it as it approached Byker on the east side of Newcastle. 03063 with a stock move to Heaton on 20th April 1984. It was always good to catch a loaded move with an 03 away from the confines of Central Station.

Four more slide scans from the previous century. These are straight out of the scanner. It is obvious that my subject matter did not change that much over the decades.
