On Friday November 29, 15 promising tech startups/scaleups presented themselves to 17 media companies in The Hilversum Town Hall.

Cartagena es una de las doscientas ciudades europeas donde se han desarrollado del 1 al 5 de febrero de 2016 eventos de promoción de actividades relacionadas con Internet de las Cosas y las nuevas tecnologÃas. La Startup Europe Week, auspiciada por la Comisión Europea, tiene como objetivo crear ecosistemas de emprendimiento que faciliten el desarrollo de nuevas empresas en un sector estratégico como son las nuevas tecnologÃas. El SEW Cartagena se desarrolló en la Cámara de Comercio el 2 de febrero y contó con la organización y el patrocinio de Startup Scaleup, aceleradora de Internet de las Cosas.

ScaleUP students networking at an event hosted by the School for Social Entrepreneurs at Blackburn House, Liverpool, attended by Rob Wilson MP, the Minister for Civil Society in the UK Government.
On Thursday 12th May, SSE Northwest will be visited by MP Rob Wilson, Minister for Civil Society to meet current Scale UP students and former PowerUP students who have been supported by the School for Social Entrepreneurs and Lloyds Banking Group.
The PowerUP programme is run in Liverpool and London by the School for Social Entrepreneurs to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to create positive social change. The 9-month programme, which was launched by Rob Wilson last year, is funded by the Cabinet Office and students on the programme receive a business mentor form Lloyds Banking Group. The Scale UP programme supports social entrepreneurs who wish to scale up their social business through a fully-funded learning course, financial grant and business mentor from Lloyds Banking Group.

Against the vibrant backdrop of sTARTUp Day in Tartu — where thousands of innovators, founders, mentors and investors gather each year — something special took place that truly captured the spirit of mission-driven entrepreneurship. On a crisp winter day, the Zebra ScaleUp Pitching Day brought together the boldest early-stage companies from across the Central Baltic region to share their visions for sustainable growth and impact.
Sixteen passionate founders stepped onto the stage, each weaving stories of innovation, resilience, purpose and potential. They spoke not just about products and business models — but about purpose-led growth, where sustainability and profitability go hand-in-hand, reflecting the core ethos of the Zebra ScaleUp programme.
At the judges’ table: Lars Ling, bringing decades of entrepreneurial experience, offered thoughtful feedback and encouragement. His presence was a testament to the calibre of both the event and the founders pitching — bridging insight with inspiration for the next wave of change-makers.
From deep tech and cleantech solutions, to creative digital services and social-impact ventures, the day was a celebration of ambition with purpose — a reminder that great ideas can shape a more sustainable tomorrow.
