The lower cabin deck attaches to the top of the lower cabin. Again, I had several of these included in my box of parts, but this was the only one that hadn't been used.
You can see attachment points for the Wheel House, Smoke Stack and Mast. And all those little holes along the perimeter? For individual brass rails!
Some nasty marks on the inside - no idea what they are. I didn't attach it with CA, but maybe it's from some nearby panel touch-ups which did use CA?
This is a series of 1:5 scale models of the Photon Spacecraft, featuring three modifications of it, each – configured for a different planetary mission. The models were developed in 3D software, parts were printed out of extended durability plastic, and the models were assembled, painted and decorated manually including a gold foil wrap of the main hull. In addition to three exterior models, we also provided a twice smaller model, featuring the interior structure and tanks, common for all three crafts. The models are designed to be mounted on custom bases. The models and the bases are packed conveniently in heavy duty Rotomold transit cases with custom foam lining. Hobbycraft 1/48 Bf 109G-6/R6
Many folks think that model building is just for kids... not so. It's been elevated to an art form by many talented builders around the world. I guess I'm one of those who looks at his modeling as artwork, and this is perhaps my second best effort to date.
This Bf 109G was finished as a Romanian Air Force machine and carries the roundels which replaced the old crosses after Romania switched sides in WWII. The wingtips should be white, but this is something I didn't discover until a month or so after finishing the build. Oh well...
