Scaling Dam is situated approximately half way between Whitby and Guisborough on the A171 Moor Road. The reservoir is owned by Northumbrian Water Ltd. who lease the club house and sailing rights to Scaling Dam Sailing Club.
1/32 scale Trumpeter Grumman Avenger.
Built as a Royal Navy version using Eagle Strike decals. Brush painted throughout and finished with aerosol gloss varnish before decals then matt to seal them in.
Not strictly 100% accurate for a RN version but it will do for me.
This massive, almost 10 ft long, half scale model represents an Aerial Target Unmanned System.
This model is made for trade shows. Despite its size and high durability, the model is extremely lightweight. It can be easily lifted by two man. The model is highly detailed, down to the last screw, and decorated with scaled down decals, exactly as on the original drone.
Since the model is meant to be transported from one trade show to another, it has removable vertical stabilizer and wings. The model is accompanied by two replicas of payload, packed in the individual luggage type transit case. Payload replicas are easy to install or remove.
To display the model we provided a convenient custom made metal tripod. Tripod is one of the common designs to display large scale aircraft models. However our tripod is made so it can be easily assembled/disassembled in order to make it portable and conveniently transport it. The tripod also has a removable plaque to display tactical and technical characteristics of the drone.
We provided custom made ATA transit case with custom designed interior which consist of the holders for the model itself and compartments for the wings, vertical stabilizer, tripod display legs and a set of tools needed to handle the model.

Obivously, SOOC, as that's the point (save some cropping).
My first roll, using a Provia 400, turned out a disaster.
For one, no, I did not select an E-6 film on purpose; it was completely a mistake, and I paid for it (literally, like $8.50 for it). Secondly, almost all the shots were super underexposed. I metered all my shots @ ISO200 setting on my Spotty––which is what they say you should do; add one stop to your exposures––so it's either that E-6 red scaling loses more exposures, or my Spotmatic's exposure meter is way off (which doesn't sound right; my previous two rolls turned out OK).
Anyway, I like the effect, so next time, I'll make sure I throw in a C-41 ;-P

Anthro New England 2022 is a furry convention that was held February 17-20, 2022 in Boston, MA. Attendance was 2,570 and $25,700 was raised for their charities: NEADS and the ALS Association.
The acrylic ellipsoid in the foreground is a model of the Virgo supercluster of galaxies. At this scale the Haydn planetarium in the background is sized like the visible universe.
I'm exercising and dieting at the moment - need to get my weak leg fixed after last years op, and thought I might as well add in healthy eating and sort out the weight gain. This is a proud moment, as I've lost a stone, and I'm now a psychologically magical '8 something' - OK, so it's basically 9 - but bear with me!
