Somebody threw this out! Who would keep one of these in their house? You put two cents in to weigh yourself!
Κατάκολο - Pyrgos (Greece).
ENGLISH
Katakolo (Greek: Κατάκολο; before the 1970s: Κατάκολον or Katakolon) is a seaside town in western Ilia in the municipality of Pyrgos. Katakolo is part of the municipality of Pyrgos (Ilia). It is located south of Patras and Dounaiika, 12 km off downtown Pyrgos, west of Olympia and northwest of Messenia. The town centre is within a gulf overlooking the Ionian Sea and dividing the Kyparissian Gulf from the rest of the Ionian.
It has a small port which is the main port of Pyrgos, a school, restaurants, a church and a town square. Most impressive is surely the visit to the Municipal Museum of Ancient Greek Technology which holds 150 operating reconstructions of mechanisms and inventions of the ancient Greeks covering the period from 2000 B.C. to 100 A.D. A railway called the Katakolo-Pyrgos line goes to Katakolo. Small hills with forests surround Katakolo. Katakolo is situated on a peninsula and has a lighthouse founded southwest. The Lighthouse Katakolo (Faros Katakolo) was first opened in 1865. The port is also a frequent stop for cruise ships on tours of the Ionian and Mediterranean seas, offering an opportunity for passengers to visit the site of Ancient Olympia. Consequently, many of the shops in the town centre are geared toward foreign tourists. The other main industries includes agriculture and services.

CASTELLANO

Breakout Session: Scaling Impact Enterprises
Creating energy from landfills, connecting women-led coffee cooperatives with international buyers, verifying medications by mobile phone. The audacious ideas of social entrepreneurs can change the world, but critical barriers often inhibit these ideas from getting off the ground. While social entrepreneurs confront challenges typical for most entrepreneurs—such as access to capital, markets, and talent—by virtue of their business model they face added obstacles. Already expected to deliver on ambitious social and environmental returns in addition to financial returns, they also contend with greater institutional investor skepticism and appeasing a wider array of stakeholders. Social enterprises have nonetheless experienced significant growth, with traditional and impact investors committing more than $10 billion to these companies over the last four years—tripling their investments.
In this session, successful social entrepreneurs from around the world will share challenges from their work, as well as opportunities they see to achieve greater impact by scaling impact enterprises. Leaders from the private, public, and civil society sectors will also discuss how CGI members can:
• Design innovative approaches for impact enterprise talent recruitment, development, and retention.
• Define, measure, and communicate the social and environmental impact of social enterprises.
• Incorporate impact enterprises into their supply chains.
• Scale programs that support women and minority-owned enterprises.

Thank you for your comments and nice words, I'm very appreciate this:-)
It said 78 kilo when I stepped on the scale. I took a few more photos in the cafe which also looks like a museum and I will post those tomorrow.

The lady in the shot looked apprehensive as I took advantage of her umbrella to frame her. I was shooting using only the distance scale on the lens, hence no focusing. It allows a quicker movement to get the image and also lets you het in close. The combination of movement and proximity probably startled her a little

Don Weixl's HO scale Nitro Pass and Okanagan is a 12" x 15" 2 level model railway. It has been under construction since 1991 and is 95% complete.
Don models the southern British Columbia area in the 1955-1965 time period.
In my faculty they teach architecture and engineering. Architecture students use to make scale models. Unless the models were really good, They don't use to take them back to home because sometimes they are too large for going into the bus, and students found their "not so good" models useless when the semester ends. that's why most of those models end up in the trash. I asked a friend if I could keep this one and he said: "Of course!". Look at it carefully and you will notice that is not so perfectly made, but thanks to this scale model I could make this photo story:
This is a close up of a pinecone, but the arrangement of the bristles look somewhat like the scales of a pangolin (a close relative of the anteater).

I live in a house. Big Surprise, isn't it?
Well, I live in a very old house. The floorboards creak when you walk around the flat, they are also giving in to age; the damn floor is as wavy as an ocean floor during a tsunami!
But thankfully, these old floors are covered with (an equally old) carpet, so falling over whilst drunk isn't a problem! ;)
Fishing is something we Icelanders have done for centauries and it's been our livelyhood ever since some crazed outlawed vikings stumbled upon our shores a millenia ago(but not before stopping by in the UK and steal the pretty women).
So I suppose that the arcitect thougt covering the entiere house with rocks shaped a fish scales was a stupendous idea!
Let's face it. Living in house diguised as a fish is just silly...
