Wide Angle - Front view of Hutchison’s 182.

Pictured here at the temporary Belshotmuir depot, whilst the entire diorama undergoes significant investment and infrastructure changes, is the recently completed 1:76 scale model of Y182 BGB - a Volvo Wright Renown delivered new to the Lanarkshire independent bus & coach operator, which would last through ownership by First Glasgow and onwards into preservation. The application of correct Vehicle Registration Mark plates and reapplication of external mirrors signals the completion of this particular model which is celebrated with a photoshoot alongside two other stage carriage buses, both also bearing the standard company “Buggy Bus” signage. These are an Optare Delta which stands in for the Optare Vecta’s & Excels used by the real Hutchison’s, and a Dart SLF standing in to represent the real ALX300 used. To the right of the depot are two coaches representing the other aspects of the companies operations - Private Hire, Tours & Trips and Glasgow Express shuttle services.

for scale - the bit of the plant in this image is about 60cm across. giant cusionlike things, adapted for extremes of temperature and aridity.

Yes, the guy's name is actually David - and the rather humble truck is blessed with a great name: Goliath Express.

BENNY DIAR PAINTING G SCALE TRAIN BY MOUTH (VIDEO):... www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JvdL0bq9pQ

don't do many, if any graffiti on model trains much anymore. I was invited to be featured in "The Art of Transportation" art show Crewest Gallery in Los Angeles. It was a good fit because before being paralyzed, I am most known for painting freight trains that travel throughout North America. Since being paralyzed I have painted a decent amount of model trains with acrylics by mouth but have since been concentrating on painting portraits. I painted this model train because I wanted to have something new for the show that hadn't been seen before. I had a couple of my caregivers film me and I spent the last couple days editing this video. Visit BennyDIAR.com for photos, videos, and links about my recovery and paintings. Visit Crewest.com for more information and pictures of the show.

Designed and folded by Chad Killeen from one uncut square of paper. April-May 2008.

For this I used a 2-foot square of paper, which wasn't all as good as I hoped it might be (though I am glad I was able to get the job done with it). It wouldn't hold shape very well so I had to use 3 wires to get it to keep his shape. Don't worry that is all I used, no tape no glue :) I plan to fold a better version once I get my hands on some better paper.

Zeessi asked for the scale, so of course, I had to build and entire mini Green Grocer, rather than just saying "three stories."

Well of course it's big. How many tanks can honestly say they have a bridge?

Come on people, you know that I'd build it in minifig scale if I had the parts.

Four upright scales. The two on the left are English by Salter; the larger one (no. 28) weighs up to 28 lb and belonged to my grandmother. The small one (no. 11D) only weighs up to 8 oz in 2 dram increments; 16 drams to the ounce.

The two on the right I assume to be German and early 20th century, the cream-coloured one is by Krups; both have kilogram and pound measurements, although the 'Pfund' is the German version which is half a kilogram. I recall that when I was young the Pfund was is common use in Germany when I was sent to do shopping, but I'm not sure its use is as popular now.
