Negli affreschi di Pompei, esposti al Museo Nazionale Archeologico di Napoli, ho individuato molte scale.
It's amazing what you spot on holiday. These are pretty ancient scales, found while in Crete, cannot remember where exactly.
Dating to 1883, this cotton gin was originally located about six miles away from Historic Washington State Park on the farm of Capt. Dave Goodlett in Ozan, AR. Goodlett constructed this steam-powered cotton gin and the family operated it until 1966. In 1983, the State Park moved and restored the gin. It is one of the few surviving steam-powered gins in the United States.

Brewing played a key role in Lichfield’s past and by 1732 there were eighty innkeepers recorded in Lichfield .
The coach trade also supplied this industry, as travellers passed through the city stopping at coaching inns such as ‘The Swan’ and ‘The George’.
The Kings Head
Known as the King's Head since c.1650, but previously called the Antelope and The Bush.
Said to be the oldest pub in Lichfield dating from 1408, the King's Head later became one of the city’s many coaching inns. In 1828, the London to Manchester Herald called at the inn each day (except Mondays) and in 1834, the ‘True Blue’ coach ran from here to Birmingham at eight o’clock every morning, and to Rugeley at six o’clock each evening.
The King’s Head is often called the ‘Home of the Staffordshire Regiment’. In March 1705, Colonel Luke Lillingston raised a regiment of foot here at the Inn which would become known as the 38th foot by 1751 and as the 1st Staffordshire Regiment in 1783. After a reorganisation just under a hundred years later, it became the 1st Battalion of the South Staffordshire Regiment

The “HUMAN CITIES/ SHARING CLOUD – Kragujevac 2017” program consisted of an inspirational creative conference searching for proposals for design-thinking and participative-urbanism in Serbia and Europe today, as well as an exhibition of works of all eleven partners of the “Human Cities/ Challenging the City Scale 2014-2018” project. One of the presented projects is BDW’s “Creative Grand Park” development, developed as part of the Human Cities/ project and built as the first private / public partnership of its kind, between the Foundation Dragica Nikolić and the City of Kragujevac.
The conference ”HUMAN CITIES/ SHARING CLOUD – Kragujevac 2017” ” presented a unique opportunity for engaged citizens and citizen’s initiatives, municipal administrations, universities, urban planers, architects, artists, economists, government, media and students from all vocations, to get introduced to the latest European developments about exploring the way in which the inhabitants reclaim the constantly evolving contemporary city (especially through experiments in the urban space) and ways of (re)inventing city life, as sources of well-being and quality of life. These structural changes are impacting both people and places like shops, public squares, parks, or streets in town and city centers.
