I just like the colour contrasts, the bright ferns and tree against the brooding sky, and the lichen adds a splash of yellow on the posts. The path on the right is the circular route around Scaling Dam reservoir, we should have worn more waterproof shoes!
Richard is a royal python (Python regius), common called "ball python" in the U.S. He's a native of sub-Sahara Africa and is one of the most secretative and gentle snakes. Royal pythons grow to 4-6 feet in length. Scales best viewed large. Photo by Frank

Or putain alors even. This bijou springette has broken loose from the battery housing of the digital scales. I doubt my chances of soldering sprung shiny steel back into place so it looks like in future a bit of wedgery and hope will have to do. Even if I had bothered to register at the time of purchase I guess we've had these for longer than three years. They came via an e-bay reseller that's for sure.
A handy piece of kit nonetheless for the weighing of bicycle parts and the like with an accuracy of plus or minus 5 to ten grams or so depending on how heavy the object is.
I'm alive to the ridicule of measuring such such stuff when the rider weighs in at 85 kilos but hey.
