At this point the plant was put with a heated grow mat.
First leaves that were stuck in the stem.
They had to be cut out to loosen them.
This released some pressure on the stem enabling the tender first leaves push past the obstruction
Like a bug, like a fish, like a bell, like a coat, like a monster, like an arrow... A very strange but beautiful object. I love it!
Slag om Hellevoet - a large-scale spectacular re-enactment of the historic events in 1813. With many authentic dressed soldiers, cannons firing with thunder, musket fire, and clouds of gunpowder by the troops of the "Napoleonic Association of the Netherlands" and the "Gunners of Hellevoetsluis".

a close up of the top of the scale - I'm assuming it also used to give you your horoscope, since you are instructed to put the coin in the slot opposite the month you were born.

The stable was originally a structure I made from a cardboard box that is going to serve a dual purpose as a ruined Abbey for a Halloween theme, as well as the broken down stable for the Nativity. I still have a few more tweaks to do on its exterior and the roof. The bales of hay were from Hobby lobby
Lots of potential for sliding through this section. Luckily no falling rocks from above during the entire traverse.
I dry brushed 4 different shades of blue and turquoise on to the platter, I then painted scales to cover the top.
