'This is the Zen approach: nothing is there to be done. There is nothing to do. One has just to be. Have a rest and be ordinary and be natural.'
'The quieter you become, the more you can hear.'
This has been one sim I enjoyed to go relax. Think. Ponder the days events. The music and the ambience made it one of those place I would just be able to let go of the days events.
So I want to thank
~~Bart Bader ~~ for all his marvleou work and dedication to this sim. Thank you for the hours of relaxation, the hours I spent exploring this sim. Truly it was one of the best!
This song isn't perfect for this, but it sort of is saying good bye
Barred Owl with its dinner. Found him again a little later, sitting fat and happy in another tree digesting what I imagine is a big meal for an Owl.
“The magic fades too fast
the scent of summer never lasts
the nights turn hollow and vast
but nothing remains…nothing lasts.”

A rare White Squirrel (not albino, because it has black eyes)stopping to have a look at me to find out if I am friend or foe before squiring up the tree out of my sight.

This Peregrine Falcon used to live near by.
She flies sometimes close by just like she was saying hello :)

This is the first time I've photographed the Milky Way from this location looking south. Usually I am at the lighthouse facing west. I'd like to shoot this in the spring when you can see the arch across the sky but not sure I have enough energy to be there early in the morning around 3 or 4 am lol.
"And I'm just saying that by the end of these seven days or maybe a week from then, or a month, you'll say yes."
He cupped my cheek and leaned in pressing his forehead to mine.
"And I'll be waiting. No matter how long it takes."

Today my manager takes me away from Barnes. I will be moved somewhere for couple of days until I get a new placement. We sit in the station's garden for a coffee and from nowhere a little Robin appears...He is not taking bread crumbs but stands next to me and looking for some minutes..Someone passed away yesterday and we did not manage to say Good Bye each to other..Is it him who sent me a Little Robin? I strongly believe there is connection...

Well here in Hartlepool I have no Glencoe mountains. No Harris beaches.
But what I do have is the well captured Steetley pier.
Trying to find something a little different after all these years, is becoming increasingly difficult
But hey, I love a challenge
So off we set last night back down to our usual haunt.
I'd expected it to be busy, due the warm weather, which usually brings out people in their hoards.
Not the greatest of evenings
Doesn't it annoy when those who come decide to leave their bags full of rubbish.
Idiot folk setting light to things, so the local Fire Service need to attend
Then two foul mouthed youths decided it was fun to walk not past but onto the posts I was stood photographing
Sadly a sign of the times we live in now
But hey, I spotted this reflection under the pier which appeared to show a little more of the underside and due to the low tide, it's the section furthest into the sea
Courtesy Brittany Martin Many find comfort or hope from seeing mourning doves. Some people believe that the sight of a mourning dove is a message from God, angels, or other spiritual guides. In the Old Testament of the Bible, a dove is a symbol of reconciliation, forgiveness and peace.

Try saying that tongue twister title a few times 😁 Feverfew flowers with a small fly investigating them HFDF!
This plant was introduced from S.E. Europe & is generally considered to be a garden escape which has naturalised in Ireland. The leaves were traditionally used as a migraine treatment (not fever as the name suggests).
Photo 35/100 for the 100 Flowers 2020 group. Hope my Flickr friends are not bored to death of my flower photos but I want to catch up.
The Adventure
The weekend had been magical. Honni had never felt more relaxed or in love with their boyfriend. Spending so much time with family, in the water, and surrounded by the sweet Mediterranean air really recharged and re-energized our adventurer. But like all good moments, this one had to end too. After packing their bags, and saying their goodbyes, Honni and Melethril walked up to the front desk in the lobby and checked out.
So long Portoluna! We’ll miss you!
Where was Honni?

A small crowd of locals has gathered outside of Page, AZ, where what was announced to be the last inbound coal train to the Navajo Generating Station. There ended up being another run after this one, leaving later in the day and slipping by most buffs. I only saw one other railfan near Kayenta on the chase of the last train.

A rare occasion when a Short-eared owl not only flies close to you, but perches by your car. I was just about to pack up the car when I noticed this guy sitting on a pole right next to the parking lot.

Saying Goodbye...
Christmas is over and it is time to say goodbye to all the decorations and knickknacks we surround ourselves with at this festive time of year. Today we start packing up all the lights and decorations into plastic tubs to store them in the basement for another year.
The winter moose is one that always brings a smile to my face. as he is so silly looking. and really joy and happiness is an integral part of the season. just a little reminder that better is just around the corner. and hopefully sooner than later Covid19 will just be a distant memory,

A mink scours the shoreline of the marsh in search of a quick meal. Diving under logs, in and out of the water, constantly searching for food.
I just so happen to be sitting in the right spot as he bounded across this fallen log acting as a makeshift bridge to the shore. Stopping briefly to check me out before heading on his way to continue the search.
Brown Falcon (Falco berigora)
Always good to catch up with Arthur. Mind you, I think he might have been more interested in the Tiger Snake, that I wasn't aware of at the time, as a possible dinner.
Happy Wing Wednesday!

I just happened to have two carrots with me, so they happily munched on them after I took the photo :-))
Best viewed full screen.
Continuing this short series (of birds I hope to see soon) with a male Yellow Warbler from two years ago. The vast majority of my photo ops with warblers are brief, but this little beauty gave me an extended session as it hunted for ants among the leafing-out caragana. The light was perfect. I was on foot, wandering about, saying "ssst-ssst" and "wsht-wsht", the common language of little birds everywhere.
