Dat is nou leuk. Vind je achterin een kast een envelopje met foto's die je ooit ingestuurd hebt naar de redactie van Spoor & Trein.
Deze foto is op 28 juni 1999 gemaakt aan de Berkelweg in Deventer. Loc 6495 trekt een volle ACTS-VAM-trein het laatste stukje de helling op naast toen nog geheten Rijkshogeschool IJsselland, het tegenwoordige Saxion, richting Deventer Goederenemplacement.
Twee jaar later zou alles gesloten en later gesaneerd worden en resten er nog een paar stukjes spoor ter herinnering. Het spoor op de foto ligt er nog en eindigt in een stootjuk naast het gebouw.
Met zonstand, halve gebouwen etcetera was ik in 1999 totaal niet bezig.

De Parken (The Parks) is a neighborhood of Apeldoorn. The residential area is located on the north side of downtown Apeldoorn.
The district is named after the four more or less contiguous parks in the district: het Oranjepark (the Orangepark), het Wilhelminapark (named after queen Wilhelmina), het Prinsenpark (Prince Park) en het Verzetsstrijderspark (Resistance Park). The district itself is park-like because of the relatively large gardens, the trees in the avenues and streets plan in the English landscape style.
In the 19th century were in the area three estates, de Pasch, De Vlijt (The Diligence) and Sophia's Hoeve (Sophia's Farm). These were purchased at the end of that century by developers, dismantled and parceled. Only the house of the estate De Vlijt, Maria Lust, is still there.
Most homes were built between 1880 and 1920, they are often detached and almost always with a conservatory or porch. Most houses are also decorated using various types of stone or decorations in or with woodwork. Finally, most villas designed separately and are therefore almost not identical.
In 2005 the district was designated as a state conservation area. Before that it was already municipal protected. In addition there are many individual buildings a municipal monument and also a considerable number are designated as national monument.
In the district are two secondary schools located, Gymnasium Apeldoorn and the Koninklijke Scholengemeenschap Apeldoorn (KSA). Also, the Higher Education Saxion Hotel school is located in this district.
At the Wilhelminapark is the Theological University Apeldoorn.

De meeste huizen zijn ook versierd door gebruik van verschillende steensoorten of versieringen in of met het houtwerk. Tenslotte zijn de meeste villa's apart ontworpen en zijn er dus bijna geen identieke te vinden.
In 2005 is de hele wijk tot rijksbeschermd stadsgezicht aangewezen. Daarvoor was het al gemeentelijk beschermd. Daarnaast zijn er veel individuele panden tot gemeentelijk monument en ook een behoorlijk aantal tot rijksmonument aangewezen.
In de wijk zijn tevens twee middelbare scholen gevestigd, het Gymnasium Apeldoorn en de Koninklijke Scholengemeenschap (KSG). Ook is het Hoger Hotelonderwijs van Saxion Hogescholen gevestigd in deze wijk.
Aan het Wilhelminapark bevindt zich de Theologische Universiteit Apeldoorn, de enige universiteit die Apeldoorn rijk is.

The observation tower is 26 meters high and stands on a hill that itself is 9 meters high. From the top level of this tower is a magnificent panorama of Berg en Bos and the area around. On clear days the view reaches to Zwolle (about 40 km).
Apeldoorn
Apeldoorn is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a regional centre. The municipality of Apeldoorn, including villages like Beekbergen, Loenen and Hoenderloo, had a population of 157,679 in 2014. The western half of the municipality lies on the Veluwe ridge, the eastern half lies in the IJssel valley.
The town of Apeldoorn
The oldest known reference to Apeldoorn, then called Appoldro, dates from the 8th century. The settlement came into being at the point where the old road from Amersfoort to Deventer crossed that from Arnhem to Zwolle. A 1740 map refers to it as Appeldoorn.
Close by is the favourite country-seat of the royal family of the Netherlands called the palace het Nieuwe Loo (now Het Loo). It was originally a hunting lodge of the dukes of Gelderland, but in its present form dates chiefly from the time of the then Stadtholder William III of England (1685–1686). The younger sister of Princess Beatrix, Princess Margriet, lives nearby the palace Het Loo, with her husband Pieter van Vollenhoven.
Apeldoorn was a relatively insignificant place until the major building projects of the 19th century and those of the period following World War II. The Protestant church was restored after a fire in 1890. The Roman Catholic Mariakerk is a national monument.
Apeldoorn possesses large paper-mills, many offices (Centraal Beheer, an insurance company; the Dutch Tax services; the "Kadaster", the government land registry service; and some more), a newspaper company, some hospitals and nursing homes. With over 95,000 people working in the municipality, Apeldoorn is one of the most important employment centres in the eastern Netherlands. Apeldoorn also has several important educational institutes, such as the Saxion University of Applied Sciences (hotel and facility management), the Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, the Netherlands Police Academy and the Theological University of Apeldoorn.
Apenheul is a zoo which hosts a number of different types of apes and monkeys, some of which are free to walk around the visitors. It is situated at the western edge of Apeldoorn. There is also an amusement park situated in Apeldoorn, called the Koningin Juliana Toren (Queen Juliana Tower). It is situated nearby the Apenheul and lies on the road to Hoog Soeren. It is called the Koningin Juliana Toren because of the tower, which was built in 1910 and was later named after Queen Juliana.
Apeldoorn railway station is, among regular national and international services, the terminus for the Veluwse Stoomtrein Maatschappij, a preserved steam railway that runs to Dieren via Beekbergen.
The southwestern corner of the municipality is part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. It is the final Battle Honour of The Royal Canadian Regiment who took part in the town's liberation in World War II.
The most successful sports club in Apeldoorn is the SV Dynamo volleyball team, who are the 12-fold champion in the Dutch A-League, most recently in 2010. Because of the growth of Apeldoorn, and the population's interest in sports, Apeldoorn has built a new stadium for volleyball, indoor athletics and track cycling. The stadium, Omnisport Apeldoorn, opened in 2008 and has hosted the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the European Track Championships in 2011 and 2013.
In 2016 the city hosted the opening time-trial stage of the Giro d'Italia.

Park Berg en Bos
Nature Park Berg en Bos is a nature reserve of 250 hectares in the Apeldoorn village Berg en Bos. The park is on the edge of the Veluwe hill area.
History of Park Berg en Bos
Park Berg & Bos, owned by the municipality of Apeldoorn, was built in 1934. It was a job creation project in the crisis of the Great Depression. This place was until the 19th century, a water supply to the water fountains and water of Het Loo Palace. From 1953 in eveninga 'Lumido' organized a music, water and light show in and around the forest pond in the park. 'Lumido' stopped in 2003 and restarted in August 2012.
Themes
The park shows the characteristic of this area's plants and animals such as wild boar and red deer. As one penetrates deeper into Berg en Bos, the character gradually changes from a carefully landscaped park in an unspoilt but varied woodland. Along the trails in the park several routes are mapped out.
There are various recreational amenities such as a 26 meter high tower, a playground and a butterfly garden. The park also includes a zoo and a botanical garden. In the zoo Apenheul several monkeys live in the most natural conditions, and in the Pinetum different families of conifers are on display, including giant sequoias.

Ik was eigenlijk voor de 4011 en 4012 in Apeldoorn maar in het uur kwam er nog meer leuks voorbij, zoals de VSM met een setje Oostenrijkers en een blokkendoos uit Beekbergen, de RRF4401 met ketels naar Bad Bentheim en vanuit Bad Bentheim dan ook nog de 1829! Om stipt 14:55 uur komt de muisgrijze loc over het middenspoor van Apeldoorn met een fraaie sleep VTG-ketels richting Amersfoort.
De schoorsteen is tevens van de Nettenfabriek, maar door de bouw van het Saxion enkele jaren terug is de fraaie eyecatcher letterlijk naar de achtergrond verdwenen.
In de Lebuinuskerk te Deventer werden de getuigschriften hbo Bachelor of Arts uitgereikt. De dag werd omlijst met workshops en lezingen door onder andere Samira Boon.

In de Lebuinuskerk te Deventer ontvingen onze nieuwe professionals hun getuigschrift bachelor of arts. Gefeliciteerd!
De Handelskade in Deventer met een grote vestiging van TAUW en verderop de Saxion Hogeschool. Rechts een deel van het winkelcentrum De Boreel. De gracht maakt deel uit van de Grachtengordel rondom de stad.
Vandaag tijdens het tussenuur eens wat geëxperimenteerd op het dak van mijn school. Nog nooit eerder zoiets geprobeerd. Smaakt wel naar meer!
