The time turner appears in the Harry Potter series of books and films. It is used by Hermione initially to save time so she can double up on classes. Later, in the Prisoner of Azkaban, she and Harry use it to travel a short distance back in time (1 Hour) to save Buckbeak and Sirius Black.
The keychain is 3.5 inches long, including extended chain fob, The outer ring of the time turner is approx 1.5 inches in dia and this shot was another posibility for the Macro Monday theme "Keychain".

Sometimes when things are just getting a little too much a long drive gives me the chance to save some of the sanity I have left.

krys, photosynthesizing this past Sunday. My day started with confusion because I wasn’t aware that the time was changing (still don’t know why), but my afternoon was a clear sky full of sun and a great shoot with Krys. So many shots I’m waiting on Polaroid Week to share. It can’t come soon enough.
I may end up edited out, but hey, I looked TOUGH!!
Show is first of 3rd season and 2nd just ended, so this won't air til Sept/October.
Put it on your calendars.
Holly Hunter touched me AND gazed into my eyes (with suspicion, she was looking for a "bad guy" disguised as a cop. I was a good guy disguised as a cop). She is tiny.
These posters have started showing up all over the city, asking to save the nightlife wich is at the moment quitte limited due to the pandemic.
Halloween, nefarious mastermind Dr Grizzle, a Waxworks Museum and the Chamber of Horrors within - it was only going to end one way... namely with Agent Havoc kicking a whole lotta monster ass and saving the day once again!
A final outing for my Courtyard set for this Halloween. Now sporting the old Sideshow Universal Monsters and my custom Poppy/Made-to-move Barbie Agent Havoc
Those head scratchers work SOOOO well. Even in the middle of Chinatown in the middle of the street.

Saving just a few more photos of the Killdeer family from the 4th of July last year. This is my one and only photo of an adult acting injured as a means to draw attention away from its chicks. Anoka County, MN 07/04/22
2 opposite trends, which is yours ladies? :D
Though econ is heading for a recession of some caliber this year, obviously with tech sectors laying off in troves, last Dec employment report added 200k+ jobs. But that's seasonally. The local mall still sees people hunting sales and parking lots not really empty on a Thursday. But a gross estimate by economists to expect 1mil+ job losses in 2023 in The U.S., it's going to hit many families hard. For that inflation will have to shrink hopefully back to prior pandemic level, before any econ rebound with rates cut expected in 2024.
Gee! A year of soft econ and high unemployment is unfolding before our eyes. Saving, everyone? :)

Hello all!
This is a piece that I recently built for the contest, "Replicate your heroic minifigures in battle!" over on Lego Ideas.
I had two main goals as I built this. First, I wanted it to look cartoony, like a scene that I would have played out as a child. Hence the two knights being launched out of a catapult. And the one hiding in the bush. And second, I wanted to build it in two main sections, or islands, but I wanted to make it clear that the islands were just smaller portions of the actual landscape. In other words, the islands only exist in the MOC, not in the world that it models. I tried to use subtle hints to give the MOC this feel, such as the fact that the water only extends to the grey portion of the island's base, or the simple fact that there is a road on each island.
Ultimately, I am pleased with the result. I think it accomplishes both of my goals fairly well.
Thank you all!
Happy Building and God Bless!

In a community centered around building things out of plastic bricks, one man will set out to do what nobody ever thought of doing before.
Meet Justin, a TFOL highly regarded for his building skills among many other things, who one day decides to break the commenting record on Flickr. Along the way, he befriends A Plastic Infinity, the insane dimensional traveling reality wizard who lives in a fictional purple castle filled with women. Together, the two will recruit many of their fellow TFOLs on their quest to break the comment record.
Witness the bravery as tens of people valiantly waste a month and a half of their lives commenting on a picture of an MLP plushie.
Become awestruck at the incredible building skills of the many LEGO enthusiasts involved with this project.
Grow to love the character of Lydia, Justin's made-up girlfriend that API gave to him for some reason, and become dumbfounded by the fact that they are getting married even though they're only teenagers.
Witness the treachery, as the villain is frequently revealed to be a different person.
And join in the fun, because nobody has any idea what the hell is going on.
Staring: Just about everybody in this dang community.

Rework of a 5 year old Flickr picture. This is from the first posting:
Throughout the ages Earth has been spared destruction with help from a large eagle. The native peoples understood this, but nowadays we're too busy to look up from our smart phones to notice.
Daylight Saving/Time
This is a twist on the theme. My solar light is a daylight saver. It collects the sunshine and stays on all night until the sun comes up in the morning.
all eyes on the sky :seems to be quite an achievement to get the hay harvested in the countryside these days what with the drenched state of the land and the showers that can last for days or weeks at a time
Quick! Christmas Bear is cold after his long stay in the big, cold, snowy forest. I'll get a warm hat and a soft blanket. Oh, and I know, I'll prepare some hot chocolate. I need... let's see... cocoa powder (with honey in it!!), milk, a nice spoon to stir it... Mummy will help me microwave it when it's read... NO, Cat! It's not for you! It's for Christmas Bear! I said NO, Cat! Shoo! *Waves paws.* Don't drink that! *Wipes his forehead with paw.* Phew. I don't know how my mummy manages to eat her breakfast everyday with that Cat around. But don't worry, Christmas Bear, we'll get you your hot chocolate!
Time once again to roll the clocks forward. People trend to grumble about losing an hour of sleep, but my body seems to adapt quickly to the spring clock change. I awaken earlier and feel more energized during the day. Everything seems to happen at a faster pace; the work day seems to fly by. Best of all is it generally marks the end of driving home in the dark. I figure my odds of striking a deer decrease dramatically. The time change always brings renewed calls for leaving the clocks set on a single time zone all year long. The problem with that is people want to lock in on standard time. Not me; I love having light in the sky until nearly 10 pm in the summer. I say if we do go to a single time zone, let's make it daylight saving time!
i know, it's been awhile...
Back in May I was asked to photograph some bands playing at a Christian concert called the Revolution. I stood behind the throngs of attendees and used my 400 big daddy lens to capture the action on the stage from a safe distance... This was an example of modern photography at most events nowadays... only I'll bet my pictures look better... :)
It also protrayed how I have felt at times over the last 4 months... like I was looking at life through someone else's view screen. As you can see my view is quite blurry, but through his little camera phone the view of the world is quite clear... God has brought many of you into my life to help encourage me to move forward and to start using my focus ring again to see all that He has for me to still live for... thank you.
...especially shmily...
Povero Sonny ...

Poor Sonny...
Poor young bear with the big head... he was little more than a puppy, he was facing a solitary life, in his early days as an independent individual, without his mother.
Inexperienced and confident, he took his steps in the woods and valleys.
He did not sleep safely in some den, but wandered around looking for food.
The beautiful sleep of hibernation did not protect Sonny.
Too bad he would have been saved.
The mild winters, in fact, have now confused and influenced the natural cycle of bears.
Their sleep/wake rhythm, linked to the seasons, has altered.
The encounter with two people from afar cost him his life... for just having met the gaze of the bipedal tyrant.
He never hurt anyone Sonny. Condemned, hunted down and shot dead for doing nothing.
All in rapid mode as befits cowards who act treacherously.
An execution at the same time as the issuing of the killing decree, leaving no room for civil society to take action aimed at saving him, resorting to the TAR.
Killed because he was confident, because he used the bins that were always available and never modified, killed because even the paths in Trentino have never been well regulated and anyone can go anywhere, and then create collective alarmism.
While bears no longer have a safe area and just have to disappear.
Having taken the money from the Life Ursus reintroduction project, now the plantigrades are too many in those valleys and perhaps an obstacle to some other project that brings money.
His judge and executioner is the President of the very sad autonomous province of Trento, Fugatti, determined to kill them all.
This hostile and contemptuous subject of the life of wild animals will remember these days well. They will mark his existence because the whole country knew well his cynicism, his out of control obsession with these creatures and he will be remembered as the hater of bears, a tormentor with doubles and easy life sentences...
Undisputed king of Casteller.
