I was looking for a car to Manebhanjan ; there I saw her, at the Sukhiapokhri Taxi stand ; waiting in a share Taxi ; her marriage was at Pokhribong just an hour's distance. In a Taxi stand as the stands are in our hill , just at the middle of the road , you have to do with the light and and the angle at which you have found yourself. I took the shot, wished her good luck . Told her - your husband is lucky , you got the sweetest smile !

The Sun was about to set..she was still workng...saw this girl on a roadside in Nagpur helping her mother in making and painting artifacts out of PoP.
No better words than from the great poet, Wordsworth, to express myself about this little angel whom I met while trekking towards Nandikund..
Her inquisitive eyes held suspense, awe and innocence bundled in oneness within the sparkle of its sacred beauty !

Violence against women exists in various forms, in all societies, the world over.
In 1996 the world health assembly endorsed the fact that violence against women is a Public Health problem and female foeticide is one extreme manifestation of violence against women.
Female foeticideis now more widespread in the country then ever before and increasing day by day in our modern society. The practice was restricted to few states a few years ago has now spread all over the country. Girls and women not only face inequity and inequality, they are even denied to right to born if their families do not wish. In fact families do not wish to deliver baby daughter.
Surprisingly and shamefully, all this is happening in educative families. It's my humble request and message to society to stop killing daughters…
This is my very small attempt and effort to open the eyes and to awake the sleeping soul of humane from our social animals.
“Killing the girl child is one of the biggest sins according to the Quran. When a girl is born, Allah comes down to the earth to bless the child and the family is bestowed with all His blessings....”

Whenever women are given their due respect, even the deities like to reside there and where they are not respected, all action remains unfruitful."
There is written in Hindu mythology books “No Yagya is completed without women presence.”
In the Bani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji has all admiration for women. Guru sahib say “So kyon manda aakhiye jit jammein rajaan”. Guru sahib imply by saying this that woman have given birth to emperors of the world, therefore cannot be condemned.

"Don't take photos if you gonna delete them later...and Why you want her photograph?? People kill girls before take birth..or for dowry or do rape.." This is what a mother says when i asked for her permission to click with her daughter. harsh but the sad reality of the society we live in...where people still think a male child is better than a female child..he is a possession..a proud asset..a blessing...Still many girl child are being killed in expectation for a boy ...many women are murdered for Dowry...rate of rapes are increasing day by day does that really have to do with literacy or sense of respect...does a girl showing skin should be eve teased or stared...why do we still have so much EGO to except and say that girls are Better and Stronger than us..or may be plain Afraid to except the fact ...this mother's concern or should i say fear has left me in the pool of thoughts....is this where we belong...where are we living and where are we heading to..will we ever have a time when we will it changed to a safer, secured and acceptable society..to a much free air to breathe in...

India is growing dynamically in every field. Today, the boom in economy, innovative technologies and improved infrastructure has become nation’s pride. The country has witnessed advancements in all fields but bias against a girl child is still prevailing in the country.
At every stage of life she is discriminated and neglected for basic nutrition, education and living standard....
nation of mothers still follows a culture where people idolizes son and mourns daughters. UN figures out that about 750,000 girls are aborted every year in India. Abortion rates are increasing in almost 80% of the India states, mainly Punjab and Haryana. These two states have the highest number of abortions every year. If the practice continues, then no longer a day will come when Mother India will have no mothers, potentially, no life.
Save the girl child. Please, don't kill her. The female foeticide has to be stopped soon before its too late.
I do not even like these dolls hanging by threads in front of those balloons we shoot with air guns at the fairs, let alone the idea of shooting them.
