National Monument Against Violence And Aggression
The "Surrender A Knife" Campaign saw over 100,000 knives being surrendered to 43 Police Constabularies across the UK, these were duly cleaned and blunted and the Families of the victims of Knife Crime were invited to engrave their messages onto some of the blades which have been strategically placed to form part of the Angel, crafted by artist Alfie Bradley
This thought provoking sculpture has been on a six month tour of the UK, and will stand at the centre of Middlesbrough for four weeks

This is me giving blood today. Sorry for short description - posted in a hurry. Today is the first day in absolutely years that I have been able to give blood what with pregnancies, piercings, tattoos (well, just the one tattoo) and stuff. I thought the ban after pregnancy was 12 months but it's actually only 9 so there was nothing to stop me today.
Sorry it's not a great shot but it was one-handed at a very awkward angle!
