Somebody save me, me from myself
I've spent so long living in hell
They say my lifestyle is bad for my health
It's the only thing that seems to help
All of this drinkin' and smokin' is hopeless
But feel like it's all that I need
Somethin' inside of me's broken
I hold on to anything that sets me free
I'm a lost cause
Baby, don't waste your time on me
I'm so damaged beyond repair
Life has shattered my hopes and my dreams

Instead of explaining how I feel these days I decided to post Ed Sheeran’s „Save Myself“ which quite nails it. Technically, I don’t know why the liverwort looks sharp and unsharp at the same time, but thats kind of how I feel these days…physically present, but somehow not really in focus.
Demonstration of rescue boats of the DGzRS (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger/German Organisation for Search and Rescue on the Open Sea) at Wilhelmshaven.
Because of heavy wind the demonstration was quite realistic to the conditions the crews have to face during their rescue missions in the North Sea region.
Good luck for the crews for their voluntary work for us.

Labastide-Savès, population 128.
The building was sold, eventually, and has changed beyond recognition. I'll take a picture of it whenever I am allowed to travel again...

my life is marked
that page is bent
the corner wrent
with sorrows and scars and tears well spent
the total added
the sum equals the gain
of a soul of a man
going home again.
Save the Family
Continuing with my Positive Flags of the Nations project.
Today my flag is dedicated to my favorite theme, keeping the family together and promoting its importance. Somehow in today's world family seems less important than ever, the mighty $ seems to have taken its place. Our children need us and it is time for work to make the necessary time for family we must change our ways to properly look after, protect, educate, feed and love our children. There are only so many hours in a day and more hours need to be dedicated to our families!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Day 229/365:
Thanks to these dead roses (good job I keep things like this) and my iPhone, I'm still in the game.
I used the stage light in the portrait setting, quick simple composition that involved no difficult manoeuvres.
One day at a time.
I made a number of mistakes in taking this image but I think I managed to save it. I must be out of practice. Sunset on the coastline of the Moray Firth from Findochty.

So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me...
Oh, I′m falling
Falling under
Seeking shelter
From the thunder
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
So save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me
Reach your hand out
Oh, I wonder
Will your warm heart
Bring me comfort?
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
So save me, so save me
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
So save me, so save me
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
So save me, so save me
(So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me)
(So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me)
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
I-I-I-I-I, I want to be free
So save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me
So save me, so save me, so save me, so save me

Tau Emerald Dragonfly (Hemicordulia tau)
As I was walking past Al's garden on the way to Bill's I spotted this Tau Emerald hanging off a leaf of the Liquidamber Tree at a strange angle. Closer inspection showed it was caught in a web. I took another leaf and was able to free it from the web but it had a wing at a strange angle and a damaged leg. I put the leaf on the lawn and took a photo then stepped back to see if it was okay. After about four minutes it flew off.
Today WAH are visiting religious symbols
I had an elderly friend that I often visited with and she decided I needed saving so she gave me this turquoise cross. It saved me today for WAH .
SAVE THE EAGLES DAY
Each year on January 10th, Save the Eagles Day reminds us of the majestic raptors that soar above the Earth – whether they’re well populated or endangered. Due to the work of scientists and the public, the bald eagle was removed from this list in June 2007. Poaching, pesticides, and other dangers continue to threaten eagle populations.
While the day started as a way to save a specific pair of bald eagles and to raise awareness about the species, the observance has grown to encompass all species of eagles. Approximately species of eagles populate the world. Most of the species are found in Eurasia and Africa. North, Central, and South America and Australia only account for about 14 species. However, no eagles are found in Hawaii. The most common species in North America are the bald and golden eagles.
Eagles are powerful birds of prey. An eagle’s sharp sense of sight paired with powerful muscles, piercing talons, and beak, make them primed for the hunt. They are also monogamous, mating for life.
“To save a single whale is to save 1,000 trees.”
I read recently that whales are considered carbon sinks. Meaning that they absorb more carbon dioxide than they release into the atmosphere. If whales weren’t already amazing enough, it turns out that they help fight climate change! ~

I — I Wanna be free,
I wanna be high, I wanna be me
Time, time will tell
Where we’re going, and where we fell
Baby baby don’t you wanna know...

Thanks to Karol for all the interesting information which I copied here: ".... a splendid Gothic palace named La Conciergerie built under King Philip the Fair, later transformed into a revolutionary prison. "

During my education I went twice on a week-long study trip to Paris with the class. The first trip was in 1974.
I had my first SLR camera , an Asahi Pentax SP II which I bought second hand from my long time and hardly saved pocket money, and only one slide film roll with 36 exposures with me! My pocket money wasn't enough for more.
The film material has suffered a lot over the years, but I only have a small selection here for those friends who are interested in seeing what it was like in Paris at the time.
I took the photo with an analogue Asahi Pentax SP II (M42) camera and slide film, then scanned with a Nikon Coolscan LS 40ED film scanner
DE:

You can see that his/her? beak hasn't grown in yet, so that's why he looks like he's sticking out his tongue at you, but he isn't really!
Worldwide people are trying to save the bees from disappearing, I was glad to see so many in the gardens at the Conservatory.
