Hi everyone,
It is with a great sense of satisfaction and pride that I announce that I'm stepping down as Owner and Publisher of Attention SL Magazine and all of it's various arms and wings. I started Attention SL with Jon Demen in 2016 as a niche magazine focused on the porn world and watched it grow into a beloved SL institution.
I'm passing the baton onto Tory King. He will take up the challenge of guiding it into it's future. Had I just shuttered the title, I would have been really sad. I'm thrilled he has accepted my charge to keep it alive and successful.
I'm also proud to announce that Gavin Huntsman will be continuing in his capacity as leader of the Attention on Cancer charity wing.
I have a lot of people to thank. I'm probably going to miss someone important, so please forgive me.
First of all, this project never would have gotten started without Jon Demen, Eleni Criss and Yana Grau. They all encouraged me after my experience with SL Connoisseur that I could do it better on my own. They were right and I owe them my genuine love and appreciation.
Some other early people of note: Rachel Avro, Brunella Voelisa, Isle Biedermann, Partee Mytili, Brea Brianna, Barracuz, Samantha Ansar, Stephan Buscaylet, Graham Collinson, BeeQueen Smythe, Whimsical Aristocrat ... I'm really reaching back to the heady days of early Attention when we were still figuring things out.
I want to thank Moon, Gavin and Azimuth Somme for all of their work behind the scenes.
I want to thank Ted Dosei for his friendship and for teaching me InDesign.
I want to thank the New York branch of my family, Kieth Porterfield.
I would also like to thank every photographer who has ever provided a picture or their time to this magazine. There are way too many staff and guests for me to ever, ever remember, but you all know who you are. Even if you drove me insane, I still appreciated you.
Additionally, I would like to thank all of our sponsors and advertisers who gave me some Lindens every month because they believed in what we were doing.
I'll remain on the Attention SL staff, so this is not a total goodbye.

At last I managed to get shots of the young swallows being fed. Previous attempts were curtailed by dull weather, fence posts and a car tooting behind me as I was blocking the road

Almost done, you can see the tail a bit yet, but there is no "You should see the one that got away" story to this montage. It was an interesting and compelling view of nature!

Although doing a "365" is not for everyone, for those that do enjoy it, there is a real sense of satisfaction when number 365 comes around. Atticus sure loves it here..fresh mountain air, a new ball and just being outdoors. In his opinion, no comparison to our city living when we aren't here.

My dog very satisfied after drinking virgin water of a little hill we climbed at July on our holidays. It was a hot day so we decided to climb the hill to get a bit of that delicious and refreshing water. It was very tasty!

Questo scatto l'ho eseguito nel lontano ormai 1996, nel borgo di Arpino (FR) paese natale di Cicerone. Utilizzai una pellicola per me speciale la Kodak 160 GPX professional non più esistente, utilizzando una Pentax K 1000, il solito treppiedino e scatto flessibile. Era autunno inoltrato ed attesi, la luce del tramonto. Questa prospettiva mostra il borgo antico del paese ove è presente un arco acuto risalente al 3.000 a.c. di costruzione Ernica, un antico popolo locale e pre-romano. Questo scatto raggiunse la finale del premo Vittorio Bachelet andando in mostra nel locale che ospitò la premiazione e per me fu una grande soddisfazione perchè era la mia prima partecipazione a questo concorso fotografico nazionale. Ringrazio tutti per gli eventuali gradimenti.
I took this shot way back in 1996, in the village of Arpino (FR), the birthplace of Cicero. I used a special film for me the Kodak 160 GPX professional that no longer exists, using a Pentax K 1000, the usual tripod and flexible shutter. It was late autumn and I waited for the light of the sunset. This perspective shows the ancient village of the town where there is a pointed arch dating back to 3,000 BC. of Ernica construction, an ancient local and pre-Roman people. This shot reached the final of the Vittorio Bachelet prize going on display in the room that hosted the award ceremony and for me it was a great satisfaction because it was my first participation in this national photographic competition. Le jardin Yili, situé à Saint-Rémy-l'Honoré (Yvelines), est le premier et unique jardin traditionnel chinois privé de France. Un lieu unique, emprunt de spiritualité. D’immenses sculptures minérales naturelles sont présentes tout au long du chemin. Toutes gravées d’idéogrammes, ces pierres, comme l’ensemble des monuments du jardin, portent un nom :
« C’est la tradition. Si une pierre ou tout élément naturel ne porte pas de nom, cela veut dire qu’elle n’a pas d’âme. »

The Yili garden, located in Saint-Rémy-l'Honoré (Yvelines), is the first and only private traditional Chinese garden in France. A unique place, full of spirituality. Huge natural mineral sculptures are present all along the way. All engraved with ideograms, these stones, like all the monuments in the garden, have a name:
“It's tradition. If a stone or any natural element does not have a name, it means it has no soul. "
