Graduation Day for Senior K.G. Students
What a momentous day it was for our smart tots of Senior K.G. as they assembled on the school stage in graduation robes and caps marking their final day of preschool journey. All charged up for grade 1, new teachers and fresh school campus, our students thanked their teachers at Satellite School for Children. Principal, Ms. Bhavna Shah felicitated the little ones with the certificate of graduation and blessed them for their future. We wish our students all the best for a brand new experience in their primary school years.

Stories teach important lessons, like differentiating between right and wrong, moral values and also help to learn about the different cultures. In the story session on zoom the story; 'The doves and the hunter' was narrated, with the help of cute finger puppets. The kids heard the story spell- bound and later answered the questions related to it. Some kids even made finger puppets and tried to make and narrate a new story. Apart from teaching the children about the importance of being united, this session enhanced the listening skills, and sparked imagination in the minds of our students.

Teachers’ Workshop on Emotional Intelligence and Interpersonal Skills
The recent most workshop for the teachers of Satellite School for Children was conducted by ExtraMarks on emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Ms. Nakkashi Jain, the representative from ExtraMarks led the session in an interactive manner questionnaires and activities like quiz, short skits etc. Teachers received many tips on making their classes more comfortable for the pre-schoolers and also how to handle parent queries. The takeaway from this worskshop was to foster active listening, being self-aware and inculcate empathy for a positive and anxiety-free classroom. Teachers received a smiley ball for their active participation.

Colours are indeed the smiles of nature… Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm ,life and vitality. RED DAY celebration is a wonderful learning activity that helps the tiny tots to sort and classify objects based on colours. Our ECC team celebrated Red Day on zoom. All the teachers and students wore red coloured clothes. The teachers taught and sang rhymes based on red colour. The students were excited to see the red coloured objects like tomato, fish, car coming out of the magic box. These kids learnt to make fish and other things with their tiny fingers and hands; which facilitated the development of motor skills. The kids enjoyed playing and singing the popular rhyme ring a ring o' roses; with their mothers holding their hands. This lovely session of getting introduced to the colour of love and happiness was appreciated by all.

Finger print & Collage in flower. Introduction to finger print and collage in flower, arts and craft activity done in our Junior classes. Art is the best way to express feelings and channelize the energy for our tiny tots. Collage is French verb meaning 'to glue.' A piece of art was made by the teacher by demonstrating and sticking different materials, in a creative way. The teacher guided the kids and instructed the parents to cut or tear some colourful papers into small pieces and later help the kids to stick these on a glued image. This activity helped our children to enhance the pre-writing skills and in development of fine motor skills. This wonderful activity gave an opportunity to our students to create a colourful master-piece.

Solar System Assembly for Senior K.G. Students
Children are naturally fascinated by space science and stars, moon and the sun. To introduce and familiarize our students with the planets in our solar system, a special assembly was organized. 9 children were called upon stage , one depicted the sun and the rest were the 8 planets. Each student spoke about the character they represented and gave valuable information about the unique and identifiable features.This activity concluded with a short quiz on solar family, and all the students in the audience took part with keen interest.

Satellite School For Children celebrated ‘World Mental Health Day’ to create awareness about different emotions and feelings through a variety of activities among our young students. Workshop for Teachers
Satellite School for Children organizes suitable workshops and trainings for teachers to update them with latest developments in the field of preprimary education. Recently, a workshop was conducted by Ms. Radhika Iyer, director of Udgam School, in which she threw light on the common errors in English language. To ensure that our students learn the most and from the best faculties of town, this special workshop was organised. Our teachers got the chance to clarify their doubts from Ms. Iyer. Healthy group discussions were a part of this workshop and each teacher voiced their opinion about the subject discussed. The perils of Corona Virus is a serious global issue today. To throw light on the predicament and generate awareness, students of Junior K.G ( J section) presented an assembly on the subject. Through their speeches, they informed everyone about the causes and the effects of Corona virus and what precautions need to be taken to deal with the virus. The assembly concluded with a speech by our principal, Ms. Bhavna Shah, through which she motivated everyone to frequently wash their hands, cover nose and mouth with mask while going out , exercise regularly and avoid eating food outside.

A Visit to Rasala Park [ Nursery]
Visit to a zoo boosts children’s knowledge of environmental science apart from being a supremely enjoyable experience. Recently, our students of Nursery were taken to Rasala park , a mini zoo situated near Parimal Garden. Students had a fantastic time amidst nature and watching the various birds and animals and enjoying themselves on the joy rides. Computer Activity for Junior K.G. Students
Junior K.G. students were excited to learn about the maze activity. Initially, they attempted this finding the path activity with their finger and later, used the mouse. Zoo Day Celebration in School
Our playgroup children were excited to celebrate ‘Zoo day’ in school. They came dressed like animals and were thrilled to see one of the classrooms being transformed into a zoo. A makeshift cage was placed in the corridor to give a zoo-like feeling. Children happily went inside the cage, acted like animals, sang animal songs and had a fantastic time. A Visit to St. Xavier’s Church
As our children grow, they understand that they are a part of secular society and their friends may belong to different religions. The Father at the church explained the little keen listeners about the birth and life of Jesus Christ, with relevant pictures. Colours are everywhere and it is a wonderful experience for children to see how colours mix and form other colours. Children begin to learn colours during their preschool years and their ability to identify colours is considered a milestone in their cognitive development. During arts session in zoom class senior kg. students were taught how to draw a caterpillar. Then they were instructed to colour it with primary colours; red blue and yellow, leaving gap in between.
