I was delicately adjusting my camera’s manual focus trying to get the flowers refracted in the water drops in perfect detail. When I finally got it just the way I wanted the sun poked out from behind some tree branches, shined down on the water drops, and washed out my carefully crafted composition. This nuisance of nature required slight changes in perspective and aperture to compensate. Ah well, I suppose one man’s distracting glare is another’s spectacular sparkle.

*A poor attempt at sarcasm - the temperature inversion this morning was stunning and being above the clouds was a real treat.

I've been really impressed so far with the nikon 70-200 f/4 - it's fast and pretty sharp. I want to use it for flock flight shots and close-up flight shots e.g. when puffins just get too close on the Farnes etc. however it works really well for landscapes too.

Experiment with charcoal ,pastel and colored pencils.

Every once in a while Jasper brings Penny Puppy up to the Ottoman Empire. Instead of having a squeaker, Penny has some mechanism that makes her bark, "RUFF, ruff, ruff, ruff" In a pattern like, Long short-short-short. Not annoying in the least (sarcasm flag). Oh well, he likes her so we put up with it.
