Built in 2022, this Spanish Colonial Revival-style building was designed by Jeff Shelton to house Augie’s, a restaurant. The building features a white stucco-clad exterior, a front courtyard around a palm tree with moorish arched openings with tile trim, decorative metalwork, urns at the corners of the parapet at the front courtyard, and casement windows on the side facade. The building is a small-scale example of Shelton’s work, which is more imaginative and expressive than most contemporary development in Santa Barbara, which is subject to significant design review per the city’s design standards.
the patterns on the surface of the water are caused by wind eddies, also to the left is a row of offshore oil drilling rigs and some paragliders ....I spent 14years crossing that channel... ( average range 16 to 35 miles ) to work as a sea urchin diver at those islands......loads of adventures doing that job!
