Stay Safe People all Around the World
Soundtrack : A Change is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke Cover) Brian Owens
Sansar is a new Linden Lab created "World" mainly for users of a 3D Headset (600 US$). And creators need to be able to handle 3D programs to create and upload their stuff. Some nice pictures there - but: The water isn't moving - it's just a picture ! As well as the background. Kind of like a Skybox in Second Life.

For those who haven't seen it, this is a peek into Sansar, the other virtual world we've all heard about that LL is developing. This is a completely raw shot to show you what you see when you land in this place. Pretty amazing detail and lighting. It's from the movie Ready Player One and if you haven't see the movie, this is spot on! And who doesn't love the Iron Giant!
Mario2 Helstein is one of the best artists in Second Life. Not a surprise to see his art in Sansar as well.
Although you walk there "like an Egyptian" and the UI is as worse as one can imagine - the art presentation is nice. Just not easy to take (small) pictures of it. This is resized.

I decided to put up a blog post to finish off the series.

(Sansar)
Sansar picture or "Taxi to Texas"
One of the rare things you can use is the Airtaxi where you go a round in the "Box".
The viewer is a catastrophy - too bad they don't work with the firestorm people. This would make a huge difference.
Sansar itself is - in my view - boring. Although some good artists tried to make good surroundings for the "Boxes". Always with the given limitations of Sansar.
If you saw Multiscene Skyboxes in Second Life(TM) - its kind of this. Just not as good to handle.
Reminds me somehow on StarTreck Holodecks - the idea is similar.
Another Sansar picture.
Awesome artist Bryn Oh was creating a place there. Easier and better to look at her creations in SecondLife (TM).
Although you run around like a duck in an unbelievable bad looking avatar - you can have a look at some artists work in Sansar.
Yes - walk slow or stand- you can't sit or anything else there - if you are on screen only. With one of the 3D visors you may have a chance to do more things, if you don't break your bones while moving around kind of blind in your home :-)

I just logged into Sansar today to roam around and check things out, it's been about a year since I've logged in. But I still am so blown away by the graphics. Such a beautiful game. I just wanted to share a snapshot I took of my AV. This is one of the free AV's.
An awesome object - just not much more there. The bright lights are one of the features of Sansar - often nicely used.
We decided to try Sansar the other day, and i have to say... the graphics even on my shitty old Dell looked wow.
Here's a photo without any PS mods. :)
No real clue what I look like here, I can not figure out how to change the camera angle in Sansar for the life of me! Needless to say that makes getting a shot even more difficult :(
The Highlands (of course)
ok ok with some trepidation I visited!! Me, the reluctant, virtual pilgrim. However I am reserving judgement just yet. It's not what I expected- and there are a few grumbles but I loved the light and the detail in "The Highlands"
Instead I will direct you to two excellent WordPress posts

Another shot from Sansar, I couldn't resist, I mean come on that sky!!
Oh and, no edits, this is straight from the game.
