Stormtrooper Bruce decided to throw a celebration lunch of sorts for Palpatine's nephew, who has been in the zone all month long, demonstrating his knowledge of the alphabet from A to Z. However, STB was worried this last entry would be a zinger. But the universe had other plans.
ZZ: Wowzer, Unka Dude. This is so amazing, What an awesome surprise. And finally, today, I'm... Zorro the Zombie, accause after this month my brainzzz are fried!
STB: You've picked some zonkey names recently but this one may be my favorite! As is your zip lock bag, and its yummy contents!
ZZ: Even though these past few weeks have zoomed by, my energy is totally zapped! In my zest for this quest I've zig-zagged all over this ship - boldly going places where no kid has ever gone before!
STB: You're talking about the lower levels of your Unka's Petting Zoo, right?
ZZ: Yes! And I've eaten things that never should have been eaten!
STB: You're talking about the zucchini from your Unka Pappy's Hydroponics Garden Experimental Section, right?
ZZ: Yes!! And I've seen things that can't be unseen!
STB: You're talking about Fett's zany quarters, aren't you?
ZZ: You're so silly! But he does kinda scare the zinnia's out of me.
STB: Me, too! And you know what? I have zero tolerance for talking the way we've been talking any longer. I say let's go back to normal!
ZZ: OH, thank you Unka Dude, you're the bestest ever! And this alphabet thingy has been so much fun, and challenging. Momma said I passed with flying colors, whatever that means. But now that I'm done, I only have one last thing to say before we eat our lunch... Zee end is finally here!

25 Days of Christmas ~ Day 16 of 25
These were pretty laborious and time-consuming, but they look so pretty! I can't wait to bring them to Reid's party tonight.
Panda-wich, aka fake Oreos. These are cookies from Publix in St. Petersburg, FL. Not gonna lie, their generic house brand design and packaging are pretty cute.
I also got Choco-dile sugar wafers!
Stamping cookie cutters appear to be the new trend in cookie making, but you have to have the right recipe, or the cookies will puff-up, or spread, and you will lose all that wonderful detail.
This recipe is PERFECT for use with all stamp plunger cookie cutters.
The detail stays sharp and crisp, and they taste delicious. Plus these ship nicely to your loved ones because the creamy filling doesn't need refrigeration.
We filled them with a creamy filling, just like “America’s Favorite Cookie”, without all the additives and preservatives.
A couple of these, with a glass of milk=Happy Tummies Everywhere!

It may be Movie Night but once again Stormtrooper Bruce has been assigned another very important last-minute duty. STB hopes the guys will understand when he explains a few things.
TK-432: Dude, sorry we’re so late! The transporter broke down halfw.. Well, hello there Little Dude. Didn’t expect to see you here.
RTRNR: I know! Isn’t it exciting!?! And hello to you two, too! It’s about time you showed up. We were so worried! Unka Pappy is letting Unka Dude Trooper Sit me this week as a big fat thank you for saving the day last weekend!
STB: It’s true. Palpatine was super grateful for all we did last weekend we all earned mega brownie points! Wait until your next reviews, you won’t believe it!
RTRNR: Brownie points? What are those? We’ve been baking cookies all day. We decided today is Intergalactic Milk & Cookies Day, but now I want brownies!
TK-1110: You baked all these cookies? Wow! Well done! But, you still haven’t told us your name for today.
RTRNR: We had more cookies, but we’ve been nibbling on them while we were playing checkers. Winner gets to plan what we do tomorrow. Oh, and in honor of Christmas in July, today I’m Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! Isn’t that fun! I wanted to decorate more, but Unka Pappy said I had to cut back on my decorations this year since I’m only going to be here for one week. So, instead, we’ve made some Gingerbread Men. Isn’t that awesome!?!
TK-432: Once again, my head is spinning with his WTMIAO, way too much information at once!
TK-1110: I think your decorations are perfect. There’s still room to move around, if you know what I mean.
STB: Now Rudy, let’s hurry and finish our game so we can get Movie Night started. The guys have come a long way, we don’t want to keep them waiting too long. Otherwise, they might turn into angry Wampas!
TK-432: Um… can WE have some milk and cookies, too? I'm feeling a little hangry.

I made the fig cherry jam yesterday. Today I made the cookies! They look like Linzer cookies but they are really sugar cookies sandwiched with the jam.
(Natural light from my dinning room)
I bought these cookies because they remind me of British biscuits.
They are indeed tasty.

Stormtrooper Bruce is still watching Palpatine’s nephew and just when he thinks there’s nothing else new or fun for them to do he was thrilled to learn the Botanical Gardens actually has a play area set aside for the officers children!
STB: Great galaxy! Today was certainly full of surprises. After all this time how did we not know the DSBG has a Kiddie Korner?
Groot: Language, Unka Dude. And if you must know, Unka Pappy had them create it for me when he found out I was coming. It sure was fun, wasn't it?
STB: Yes, and messy, too! But getting to hose you off with the water blaster was super fun, if I do say so!
TK-1110: Where did you learn to make such creative mud pies? They look almost good enough to eat.
Groot: Sorry, no eating allowed. I made them for Unka Pappy’s droid champagne. Poor Dark Vader.
STB: Oh, OK. But Vader isn’t a droid.
Groot: He’s Not? He sounds like one. I thought the champagne was to find him new friends.
STB: First off, the droids your uncle are looking for have valuable information. And secondly it’s campaign not champagne.
Groot: So Dark Vader is not a droid? Is he a robot?
TK-1110: No. And ummm… no.
Groot: A Tin Man? An android? A cyborg?
STB: No. No, and... Hold on - now that you mention it, guess he could be considered a cyborg.
Groot: Wow! That is so cool! Does he know martial arts?
STB: What? No, of course … well, he might. He is a Sith Lord after all, and they know lots of stuff.
Groot: Wowzer! I think I’m starting to like him.
STB: Well, then you should be nicer, because knowing the right people can have its perks, like getting into the Kiddie Korner today.
Groot: Nope. My bad. On second thought he’s still scary like a sarlacc!
TK-1110: I’m with Groot here on that one, Unka D.
Groot: But Unka Pappy can still have the mud pies for his camping. He's got perks for knowing me!

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted*
1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated sugar cookies
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 jar (13 oz) hazelnut spread with cocoa
*To toast hazelnuts, bake uncovered in ungreased shallow pan in 350°F oven 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Let dough stand at room temperature 10 minutes to soften. Meanwhile, heat oven to 350°F. In food processor with metal blade, process hazelnuts with on/off pulses until finely ground.
2. In a large bowl, stir or knead cookie dough, flour, ground nuts and vanilla until well blended. Divide dough in half. On lightly floured surface, roll each half to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut dough with 2-inch scalloped or round cookie cutter; place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.
4. To make each sandwich cookie, spread 2 teaspoons hazelnut spread on bottom of 1 cookie. Top with second cookie, bottom side down; gently press cookies together.
5. Place remaining hazelnut spread in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag. Cut small tip from corner of bag; drizzle spread over cookies. Store between sheets of waxed paper in tightly covered container.

... between finding my DQ sundae cookie jar AND the cutest ice cream cone cookie cutter I've ever seen. Decided I'd make a 'test batch' of ice cream cone sandwich cookies this afternoon... think they turned out pretty darned cute!
These Browned Butter Maple and Brown Sugar cookies are the kind that make you want to keep going back for " Just one more " you know those kind of cookies :) I turned some of them into pumpkin ice cream sandwiches the ice cream has chunks of cheese cake and crispy cinnamon through out! At least they will be stored in the freezer as to not think about them :)
Perfect flavor combo !
Oreos come in a wide variety of flavors. The ones that I bought at the store last week are chocolate creme filled. The boys declared them delicious!
If you saw my last post of "Stacked Cookies" well this is what I did with them!
You all know the delicious Cinnabon rolls right ?...you know the ones you can get( smell) at the mall with all of that gooey icing !
Has anyone used the Cinnabon syrup or cinnamon sprinkle yet ?
I bought some at my grocery store a while back and have been wanting to add it to some batter so I added it to Cookie batter and icing!
Take your favorite Sugar cookie recipe and replace the flavoring with 2-3 Tbs of Cinnabon syrup and I also added 6 Tbs of the cinnamon sprinkle...yep all to the batter!
I then chilled the dough for a couple hours( cause I had to go out a bit) then I rolled it into 1 inch balls and slightly flattened.
Follow your recipes baking instructions and let cool!
My cookies have a nice crunch when you bite them but then are soft and chewy!
Now of course these don't taste just like the Cinnabon's but they do have a delicious flavor!
For the Frosting /Filling
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 Tbsp. Cinnabon cinnamon roll syrup
1 Tbsp. Cinnabon cinnamon roll sprinkle topping
pinch of salt
4 c. powdered sugar
Cream the butter and shortening until light.
Add the salt, sprinkle topping, and syrup and beat until fluffy. Slowly add the powdered sugar until all is mixed in.
Spread the cookies with as much or as little frosting as you like.
Spread some between two cookies to make a sandwich cookie.
Sprinkle the tops of the frosted cookies with sprinkle topping if desired.
Or delicious just plain!
