Early morning at Mesquite Sand Dune in Death Valley, photobombed by an unsuspecting model in a flowing outfit (upper right corner of the photo).

When I have a camera:

One of the most tantalizing places for me personally is in the sand dunes.

I lose time and get excited over all the possibilities.

Death Valley is a great place to experience this.

This is a fun photo where I took 9 images and blended them together to show the path 3 hikers took to descend from the tallest dune at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. The other point of photo was that it used my Tamron 150-600mm alpha mount lens with a Sony LAEA4 A to E mount adapter.

Desert near Zagora, Morocco

This was taken in White Sands National Park, New Mexico. At 275 square miles it is the largest gypsum sand desert in the world. I was reflecting on the magnitude of the landscape when I looked down and saw the beetle.

Size really is a relative concept.

MESQUITE FLAT SAND DUNES - DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA

Started reviewing the unprocessed images from our 2019 Utah trip and will begin to post some of them. These ancient colorful sand dunes are 190 million years old and consist of high-angled cross-bedded sandstone. It's a great place to climb and explore on foot.

Death Valley morning, Mesquite Flat Dunes. That we can love these austere landscapes says much about humanity.

Looking at the colourful seafront at Aberdyfi from the Ynyslas Nature Reserve.

One from a visit at the start of April. I'd always wanted to visit this famous beach and managed to get there for a day trip whilst staying on North Uist. The weather was 'soft,' with a steady drizzle and leaden skies all day. The colours were still remarkable, with the turquoise sea and yellow sands. I took a few images and stitched them together for this.
