There are large areas of sand dunes along the Lake Huron side of the Bruce Peninsula. This is in the Dorcas Bay area of Bruce Peninsula National Park.
A perfect winter's day. A stay at the river cabins, then the next day horse riding, over dunes, through stream, under pohutakawa, then forest. Great guides, great horses.
Restart of my PAD didn't get off to a great start. Packed camera, lenses, double checked I had a memory card (I always forget that) then got to Formby and realised I had left the battery at home in the charger. Bah! So I had to use my iphone.
Climbing up the dunes, I was actually glad the camera was in the boot of the car and not on my back. Fab workout though, and a stunning place.
Out near Imperial Sand Dunes, Southern California.
It had tons of plant growth due to all the rain that year.
It was incredibly peaceful- the epitome of serene.
