LOL - OK - this is a pic of my foot in the sand. I was walking around in the deep soft powder sands of the Grand Beach sand dunes and I decided to take a close of my foot in this sand.
Took a day off work and headed to the beach and sand dunes at Prestwick. It was nice and sunny all day, but there was to much haze for an amazing sunset. This was about as good as it got.

Had a walk along West Wittering beach yesterday! The sun almost came out, but it was cold, windy and pretty miserable, so didn't stay long. The beach looked as it it had taken a bit of a hammering this last few months, with evidence of flooding up amongst the beach huts and car parks.

"The Tottori Sand Dunes are unique sand dunes located near Tottori City in Tottori Prefecture, Honshū, Japan." (wikipedia)
I think that is correct ID. Colour looks right & found in dunes @ Sandwich bay where the book says this is best place to find this parasitic flower. No chlorophyll of it's own & gets all it's nutrients as a parasite on the roots of the Bedstraw plant. Also know as the Clove-scented Broomrape. Not a member of the Orchid family but I am putting it in that album
