The panel consisted of director Henry Selick (no, contrary to popular misconception, Tim Burton did not direct the film; he only wrote the poem on which it was based), stop-motion animator Anthony Scott, editor Edie Ichioka (who also had a voice cameo as one of the parents of a ‘real world’ child later on), animator director Bill Boes, and art director Kelly Asbury (who is now an animated feature director as well). The surprise moderator was Neil Gaiman ("Coraline" "Sandman")!!

R2-KT was created in and built in honor of young Star Wars fan Katie Johnson, who died of brain cancer at the age of 7 in 2005. Hasbro was selling a special R2-KT action figure at the Con. Proceeds from sale of the figure help support the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Read about R2-KT and Katie Johnson.

This brilliant cosplayer converted her own walker into Diedre's IRS desk! Complete with prop phone, pencils, Rolodex and even whiteout! Hands down my favorite cosplay of the convention.
