Minneapolis Renters visited the home of Stephen Frenz, who owns buildings in Minneapolis with Spiros Zorbalas, to protest lack of repairs and increasing rents. Because of legal challenges from the city due to Zorbalas’ co-ownership, many of the buildings have been sold through a hasty contract for deed which allows Stephen Frenz continued financial interest in the buildings. Despite sales, tenants are living in the same conditions.
Although Frenz turned the sprinklers on the protesting tenants, they were not deterred. “We’re not afraid of water,” said former Apartment Shop tenant Monique Carrillo, “We’ve already lived in it!”
Tenants took a stand today to defend their right to dignified housing. “There is not a single person in the city of Minneapolis who deserves to live in these horrible conditions, despite race and socioeconomic class.” said Lobley, “There are hard working people and children enduring these conditions in these buildings. We deserve better from our city. ”

Every single evening in the winter, the city's crows somehow know to converge on the same roosting spot downtown. They tend to rotate neighborhoods, spending a handful of nights at each place. It's so odd, but so neat.
And what's even more odd is that, on their way in, instead of coming in from every which direction, they converge into a river of birds like the one in the video. I've stood there and watched a steady stream of crows pass overhead for ten minutes or more at a time. It's crazy, but so, so neat.
The same amuse that I consumed here nearly 2 years ago. The kitchen's interpretation of an "onion soup"; it's served with Comte cheese foam, shredded onion and beef consomme jelly. It was alright though sometimes I wish Chef Eric would create something new for the amuse that's not in the mousse form
