Thiền sư Nhẫn Tế sanh ngày Rằm tháng Bảy năm Kỷ Sửu (1888), tại làng An Thạnh thuộc Búng - Lái Thiêu Tỉnh Bình Dương, trong một gia đình khá giả.
Từ thơ ấu Ngài đã thọ quy y với Hòa Thượng trụ trì Chùa Sắc Tứ Thiên Tôn Tự (ở Búng), được đặt pháp danh Nhẫn Tế. Sau đó, Ngài thọ giới cụ túc với Hòa Thượng Thiên Thai (ở Bà Rịa) làm chủ Giới Đàn, được đặt pháp hiệu Minh Tịnh.
Trải qua thời gian, phần lớn là tự tu, thấy không thỏa mãn chí nguyện, Ngài lên đường đi Ấn Độ tầm sư học đạo.
Tháng Tư năm Ất Hợi (1935), Ngài đến Ấn Độ. Trong thời gian trên đất Ấn, Ngài tùy thuận phong tục, đắp y theo xứ Sri Lan-ka. Ở Ấn Độ, Ngài cũng không thấy thỏa mãn, lại muốn sang Tây Tạng học hỏi.
Ngài được một vị Lama pháp danh Gava Samden, từ Tây Tạng sang cùng ba đệ tử là Lama Chamba Choundouss, Lama Ise và Lama Isess qua Ấn Độ rước Ngài về Tây Tạng. Do được thông báo, nên qua các trạm dẫn vào Tây Tạng Ngài đều được nghinh tiếp rất niềm nở và trọng đãi.
Ngài đến Lhasa vào tháng Sáu năm 1936.
Tại Tây Tạng, Ngài cầu pháp với Lama Quốc Vương và dự cuộc thi tuyển toàn quốc, chỉ có hai người được tuyển chọn ứng thí: một người Tây Tạng và người còn lại là Ngài, người Việt Nam. Khi đoạn dây chỉ bện màu đỏ thắt quanh cổ Ngài xiết lại, Ngài vẫn bình thản nhìn. Chỉ có Ngài qua được cuộc khảo thí.
Sau một trăm ngày ở Tây Tạng, Ngài được Đại Thượng Toạ Lama Quốc Vương ngự ý ban cho pháp danh THUBTEN OSALL LAMA và ấn chứng sở đắc Pháp Giáo Ngoại Biệt Truyền, Bất Lập Văn Tự, Trực Chỉ Chơn Tâm Kiến Tánh Lập Địa Thành Phật tại triều đình nước Tây Tạng.
Dòng Tổ Sư Thiền đã dứt vào thời Đức Lục Tổ Huệ Năng nay lại được khơi nối lại ở Việt Nam từ ngày đó.
Ngài trở về Việt Nam ngày 20 tháng 6 năm 1937.
Cuộc hành trình cùng các hình ảnh được Ngài ghi chép cẩn thận trong nhật ký còn lưu lại tại Chùa Tây Tạng - Bình Dương.
Về Việt Nam, Ngài lập Chùa Thiên Chơn (ở Búng - Lái Thiêu). Sau đó, lại xây dựng Chùa Tây Tạng hiện nay tại Bình Dương.
Ngài thị tịch ngày 17 tháng Năm năm Tân Mão (1951) tại Chùa Tây Tạng, thọ 63 tuổi.
Vị kế thế Ngài là Hoà Thượng Thượng Tịch Hạ Chiếu hiện trụ trì Chùa Tây Tạng - Bình Dương.

Mill Hill The seven Liberty-type steamers bought in 1947 and 1948 had short lives with the company. Mill Hill ex-Samden was transferred to LOF but sold in 1951 to become Educator, although not for T. and J. Harrison as might be expected from her name. She is seen departing from Dunedin N.Z. in February 1951
